not really.. i was waiting for someone to share the details here, with screenshots if possible. In my case, we got another IP with in same subnet as there was a stretched VLAN across both DCs so with that i used VIP concept and was able to make it work....
-
so u have few accounts who should be restricted to view X nodes( not virtual nodes) but should still be able to access the virtual nodes, correct?
-
Then some issue with the browser or security settings..
-
if the report content is not required then u can try 'Export to PDF' option available on top right in the webpage. This will basically show the whole page in PDF format.
-
Are u able to ping the device from Solarwinds?
-
Its working now... didnt have to use 32bit... Did 2 things: 1. re-copied the script text into other new file and converted into .ps1 2. I was using IP address in the path, which i changed to hostname ....not sure if this matters... But after doing these things, it worked perfectly for me....

Tried but i dont get the desired result.. by this i mean the action trigger when simulated, shows executed but i dont get anything in SNOW... But it works if the script is kept in Solarwinds server... not sure whats happening when it connects over remote.. i have given all rights to my ID, folder is shared and allowed to…

HI, Here is what we are putting it in the trigger action: powershell "\\path to the remote server 'arg1 'arg2' 'arg3' 'arg4'" and below is the main part of the script: # THIS SCRIPT WILL CREATE AN INCIDENT IN SERVICE NOW # CI = SNOW CI For the INC. AG = Assignment Group. SD = Short Description. LD = Long Description…

i am aware of the creation part.. but i need some help when it comes to table values...
-
Yes i do have the details. U sure this should be done?
-
Hi, No i have still not gone for that step since not sure and its a prod environment.

I have another case opened for knowing why there are so many frequent memory spikes on the main poller. and also getting 90% defragementation notification in DB maintenance. As of now what the support engineer is stating, my resources needs to be upgraded as its not as per the recommended matrix.
-
thanks for sharing.. i was able to resolve the issue by creating UnDP...
-
Thanks..this is the clarification I was looking for.... On 23-Aug-2015 6:55 pm, "Malik Haider" <

No the snap shown by you talks about polling frequency which will be applied globally across all your devices under monitoring. Under Polling Settings tab check for below shown: But i m not finding any option to change device wise, strange! Maybe some folks here can give more details on it.
-
sory ignore the above post...I m still facing this issue.... Getting 0x80004005 error still for many servers...any suggestions?
-
in agent based, i dont think u can view it.. if u want to specifically alert on swap space, you may have to do a custom poller or make use of the component in SAM which can hep in identifying the swap space...
-
thanks for the update.. We have 2-3 new configurations coming in so have to be careful and will keep an eye on this thread...
-
Great that its up now... sometimes due to network glitch also this message comes..we have seen it many times....

Hi stephen.black When we did the evaluation of 3PAR using SRM plugin we were asked to check on below list. Currently it does given lot of details on performance and availability front but not much on hardware level. If u check in demo site u will get the difference between 3PAR and other storage types. There might be more…

got to know from support that its currently not possible.. raised feature request for the same https://thwack.solarwinds.com/t5/VMAN-Feature-Requests/Allow-variables-to-be-used-in-alerting-for-VMware-Events-Option/idi-p/600981

Are u monitoring the node via ICMP or SNMP? It will show under List resources...
-
I had a case running on this to just confirm everything before i configure SSL for my URL. What the support engineer told me is that, i just need to select the right certificate and edit the bindings. He also informed that the KB of updating the DB is not required any more for latest versions. Has anyone come across this?
-
Just for the timezone issue, I don't think its a good idea to bring up one more polling engine. Check with your Windows team here if they can help you. If u make any changes then even ur DB server should have the same time zone... And where exactly you want the alerts to be shown with correct timezone? Only in Console or…

sorry was stuck with few things so couldnt respond.. Glad that you were able to resolve...
-
its better that u raise a case and get it verified if there is any major prob with any config,,,,

According to me this is not an issue with MIB's. the SNMP credentials set for the device is not authenticating. You need to check with your Device owner for this. Also check if its SNMPv2 or V3 device. I had got same error while adding SNMP V3 device and got to know that the issue was from device end.
-
thanks but for using UnDP i need to add that SSA in SolarWinds right.. dont think thats possible since there is no way to set SNMP or anything... Is it not possible to use existing script monitor which will give multiple lines output and then search from it?
-
but yes.. documentation should be there somewhere so that ppl can easily read and find it...rather than reaching out to support
-
why should it be changed to SNMP? I am not using SNMP
