Thanks for the detail and confirming on working of IPV6...
-
so i need to ask them to build a complete script like the above example and not just a single line, am i right?
-
Yes David, i am referring to the 2nd screenshot. It would be really handy if its made available... There could be scenarios wherein some devices not fall in the same category as others and feasibility to change this settings per node basis will be fantastic...

I have come across issues with WMI connectivity lot of times.. it could be firewall issue, server not in domain, or not enough rights... probably you will have to do all ways of troubleshooting to nail down in our case... And u mentioned that, with your account its working so there's something to do with the policy...

thanks a lot aLTeReGo

Oh..k understood now. Thanks for the details though...:-)

Hi Mohit, Requirement is to alert when the mount point is not available, meaning its down... I was able to get some alerts when i selected the volume type as fixed disk, network disk etc.. Do we also have an option of volume type as 'mount point' like the one u have mentioned?
-
Well in that case it's bit difficult according to me. Coz if u put that many on perf stack view then performance issues might pop up. You can wait for Other folks inputs. OR submit a case to get 100% confirmation.
-
oh.k didnt know u were managing that part as well. Guess then as Craig suggested, you can go for next hotfix or probably check with Support if they can identify anything,
-
Yes..i referred this as there was some other mention about email part as well...
-
Thanks for this detail fitzy141.. Even i will keep checking and incase i do log a ticket and get any info then will update here.
-
if i mark the existing view into NOC then can i use that in new menu bar by taking the viewID so that it can made available for only select users?
-
Thanks for the note... On 20-Mar-2017 18:24, "swf5002@psu.edu" <communityteam@solarwinds.com>

Hi, Did u get the details about the failover alerting?
-
that could mean the creds used are not authenticating due to various reasons.. you may have to check the snmp config file, any firewall/IP tables not allowing or access issue from the device end
-
okay.. can u share some screenshots if possible.. and this integration is OOB one right?
-
Hi Steven, Its for both. Ok is it possible to share the snmp config of ESX which are working for you? And any idea what could be done for ESXi?
-
Sure Steve. will wait...
-
Probably u need of to think of some workaround... if Solarwinds is still in POC stage, then u can monitor very minimum and not all parameters...
-
so even after changing the time interval, u dont see any change right? I think its better you have a case raised to get this checked...
-
Hi Sreenath, You cant add it via icmp, that's what I was trying to say.. You need to select agent option while adding the node...
-
can u click on edit option available and try changing the timing and see if that helps...
-
i was referring to failure log of email not getting sent... if thats not getting logged and you are also getting success when trying to simulate then the issue will be at the SMTP level.. there could be some rules which does not allow the emails to flow...
-
take a look at this if it helps... localhost - Wikipedia

i have seen this but for a Linux server

Hi yaquaholic I was mainly referring to the formula that runs behind. So if i understand correctly, it will be specific table where values gets stored and the max/avg etc gets calculated? OR there is something more to it? The aggregation and polling part i am aware... Its more like if any of my clients ask me, i should be…
-
Hi Steven, Yes infact I was doing some testing with what I thought could be possible. But its better to have it alerted separately. Else it might create unnecessary probs... And for using escalate option, it would be just like notifying additionally with some text pre-written but again that doesn't actually serve the…
-
if u have the setup running, then u can test it... but if u have ALX then it would be difficult
-
HI, Would like to know if u face any issues after u enable it. Do let us know...
-
thats strange! maybe its good idea to check at device level when u get such values reported...
