If you are not interested in hardware monitoring then u can go the node in question, click on list resources and uncheck the hardware sensor and submit it. Post this you should not get the error.
-
Are you sure tat maintenance is not getting completed? In the logs it says about this, maybe u can check that once, Also there was a bug in 11.5.1 or 11.5.2 version for this. There was a hotfix released as well.

I think u should still be able to select in the report only the one's that u need.. if not custom property then there will be an option called instance. If u can show some screenshot i can help u further...
-
thanks serena Since the hotfix installer had latest date so i wanted to cross check...
-
Thanks for the response. But I am actually doing a fresh install.

I had an issue where in all the device interfaces were showing old data...i re-polled it, rediscovered but didnt work. Later network team did some changes from their end and it reflected correctly...m not sure what could be the issue here...if u are not from network team then ask them to recheck the config again...

I was breaking my head as to why i am not getting response from these and saw ur comment that these are trap OIDs :-( But if we need to convert these traps into alerts then how to go about it? We cannot do testing of all parameters so is there any alternate way? We have lot of Riverbeds coming in for a customer....
-
i think i got the issue... i was getting some traps from an IP which is not monitored in Solarwinds... but this leads to another question... so if the traps are being sent from some sub IP of the network device then solarwinds will not allow to alert?
-
yes it happened with us too with some devices where it was not identifying the package name... then we installed the agent on the Linux server itself by the steps given in documentation then we were able to resolve it....
-
Anyone?
-
try using 'caption' OR 'display name'.. these 2 will definitely give u the node name detail...
-
The setting I mentioned will still hold true for your explanation... For ex: u have set alert condition for 10 servers using a group or custom property, and u apply the same for ur reset then u will get alert only for the devices that breach the condition and not others... The reset will apply as soon as it doesn't meet…

Thanks for sharing your experience... yes, windows is feasible via event ID using SAM templates... But i am looking on Linux devices... even i m observing it from few days and when i did inform my team on the reboot alerts i got, it did match with data they pulled from device... So lets see how the testing goes further...
-
thanks for sharing the update... which means it wont resolve even if the hosts are upgrade to U2...
-
serena I dont have the ticket number as it was raised by the concerned team which is at different location... But below 2 links might help you which i had received over email from my team few months back. The team was not able to see the hardware status even on Vcenter... The first one is detailed in this kb below and has…

Thanks orioncrack Just wanted to confirm since haven't been that familiar with older versions...
-
Well just an entry has to be created for the device. Your server or network team should be able to help you out.

Hi feltonlewis by admin i meant the local account.. you can just create one Orion Individual account having admin rights..i think that should not raise any questions as its no where connected with AD...
-
There is default integration available between Solarwinds and SNOW which is mentioned above by jdjones1992 There is also another way which is from ServiceNow end... this directly connects with Solarwinds over Rest API pull method... Have a look at this Configure event collection from SolarWinds We are using this approach…
-
i got my answer on this from support... so if node based licensing is in place then there is no limitation on the count of monitors that can be used...so m good with this...
-
Hi humejo Are you talking about NPM hotfix 2? We recently upgraded to 11.5.2 with Hotfix 6 and for few weeks everything was fine.. But now seeing the errors related to DB connections and also memory peak alerts on the main poller
-
in that case i think u will have to use some alert available for Virtualuzation, where it identifies that VM's status changed.. But since its not a managed node, i m not 100% sure if u can alert on it... from the host level it has to be identified...
-
by DNS, i didnt understand! can u put in more details...
-
d09h The statement that i have initially got is there is only 1 IP address.. so i am waiting for complete information and clarity....
-
aLTeReGo So would that resolve the hardware health unknown issue? we are currently on 2017.3 NPM 12.2....
-
what is the reset condition set to? And can you show the trigger action screenshot for this alert?
-
Hi Suman.. Vinay has answered all your queries... Feel free to post if you still have questions...
-
i have requested my Linux team to check on it... will update once i have the information from them
-
You can still use the application monitor to discover the daemons. You just have to select agent as the method in the monitor u create. It should work..
-
we had similar occurence and this can be taken care by support once u inform them.. they just need to remove the contact list from those email fliers...
