Is there a way Solarwinds can provide a cloud-based test environment? From where we can test all our monitoring needs.

Like if I have to add multiple nodes in NCM I can use it for one node at a time from the SWQL studio like below, but how to give multiple nodeid to perform the same operation in one go.

SQL of the report is also useful if we want to share the data with different tool to get performance details.

This Idea "What I would tell my younger self." is really the best way to learn and Thwack is all about learning from each other's experience.

No concern for storage. At least there should be no issue for 7 days, since we have a detailed report for 7 days, after that there may be some issue due to summarization.

The check for Database Maintenance is giving the Problem status for the event which occurred 15 days back. Can we fine tune these alerts to give status for some given number of days?

even If we can show the previous up/down status on map, that would help a lot.

When APPs teams request that they want alert related to server as well, we add their DL's as well in the sent to email, we set it for specific set of servers to avoid alert duplication.

Thanks @"tony.johnson" We are looking more into pattern matching and behavior change. for the example CPU alert, it should not be compared with absolute number , dynamic baseline is close to it , but that baseline is the average of last week data, we need real time dynamic monitoring, means if CPU spikes suddenly up or…

Thanks @"KMSigma.SWI" but how can I alert on this, if alert is set to trigger for critical value, current value would always <=100%, while threshold is set above 100%

1. Stop and start , Orion Module engine service from Orion Service Manager; on the polling engine from which node is monitored. 2.Go to Manage Agent > Search the node> Edit Settings > Uncheck and Check again, "Allow automatics agent updates" 3. Try to do the list resources again.

Hi@"jm_sysadmin" We have many modules including VMAN an SRM, all windows devices in ESX host. The latency we need is not from Solarwinds to device , but among 3 devices added in Solarwinds.

Support also informed that since the SQL is also associated with the Primary server so the database schema is also affected, so I should choose a new SQL instance. So eventually I would be setting up a new environment of Solarwinds from scratch. Is there a way to minimize the work.

I use the community string public , still it is not responding. Wireshark shows packet flow while snmpwalk is running, but no packets while I run the snmp test from the web console.

HI David, Checked all connectivity and it is working fine. The issue is related to installation. Solarwinds support informed that the issue is related to some beta installed on Primary server in the past, and they are unable to support on beta.
