a release note for the MIB package would be great, to see if we really need to download and update the MIB file.

Virtual Host Status alert condition are covered in many ways:

Could it be ran on a Raspberry Pi running Windows 10 IOT? or even a Raspbian device using Mono? It would be awesome to use this cheap device. Gaining visibility on GPIO contacts would be a great plus as I would be able to get door contacts and all that good stuff into SolarWinds directly...

I was under this impression, but the only thing we found was that traps for nodes that are not in the inventory can be viewed (or not) by modifying a config file. Unmanaging a device for a maintenance so alerts are not triggered is one thing. But not seing traps or syslog during your maintenance is a pain and can be risky.

Will it be recorded for later review? I will not be able to attend the webinar at said time...

Thanks! But still we have to open and modify each & every report... how 'bout a little checkbox? That being said, it is not great but feasible. Still I would like a way to restrict some reports to admins only...

Would be nice to have the document updated based on NPM12 & SAM6.3 improvements. This document has no reference to RabbitMQ

This is implemented. See https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/core-setting-custom-status-sw1043.htm & https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/core-node-status-contributors.htm

That's what SAM is for: https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/sam/content/sam-templates-linuxunix-scripting.htm

Yep... Indeed... I called in for a system down issue today, and I only heard music... I was able to finally fix my issue while waiting...

Here's another feature request related to Network Sonar Discovery: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/4808

Love the idea, but I recently found the "tile tab" plugin for Firefox. it works great
-
That pretty much explain why I wanna do it *grin*

This became available with the apparition of Perfstack: https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/SolarWinds-Performance-Analysis-PerfStack?language=en_US

Week 2: Day 7. The expected answer does not jive with information in the article.

And two more! I believe in this new feature * http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/3013 - Worldmaps - Title for location * http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/3141 - Wolrdmap - Unmanaged status

I've created a feature request here: http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/2786 You can vote so it is taken into consideration by the PM. Cheers

Bump!

It's not all three words shortcut commands... :( I got it wrong...
-
So close! We can now choose interfaces, volumes, apps... The logic is there, it would simply need to have an option to add Node Custom property... I still have faith!
-
Yeah... I went all in and selected them all.. got a big red X! :|

Hello , In Orion Report Writer, it is possible to build reports based on syslog messages (Date/time, source IP, hostname, message, tag, facility, severity etc...) This could have helped us to built reports on received information that was sent by devices if we were using syslog. There are no way (Read:I have not found a…

Web reports are not at the level of report writer... Either make Report Writer independant of the whole setup or upgrade report writer to equal or exceed the level of reporting that report writer brings us.
-
It's a bit of a DCIM feature... You might want to integrate with Netbox (https://github.com/netbox-community/netbox) or something like it

That setting does not require config file modification anymore. It can be changed using the Advanced Configuration (https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Advanced-Configuration-access-in-Orion-Platform?language=en_US). Simply search for "ValidateCounters" in that page to change this setting.

Pretty please!!! We spend a lot of time making sure that all of devices are monitored the same way. We have a lot of duplicated devices in multiple sites. Having to use the Sonar Discovery regularly, this would be a great plus (and a remake of Sonar Discovery would help as well ).
-
Just realized it's implemented (Tested in NPM 11.5.2).
-
It works for the Interfaces. If you go to Settings / Manage Nodes, in the left pane, select the custom property you want to group by (i.e. Marketting dept.) and on the top section of the page, select "interfaces" in the "Show:" drop down menu. This kind of logic should be easy to implement for volumes and Applications!…

That would be awesome!
