Implemented!

Nice to be able to disable/enable, but the engineer should have the idea of the impact BEFORE it gets enabled...

I would have loved that feature! in the meantime, i used the following workaround: thwack.solarwinds.com/.../powershell-script-to-cleanup-volumes-inventory

In our case, routing neighbors are identified as an External Node. You can place the definition in the External Node Name, and it will show up in the alert. It's a manual process, but it has been proven helpful.

Exactly, but from my POV it would be easy to implement something that is more intuitive, and good looking (ie: using the CSS and logos of the site). I don"t like the idea to have an admin deleting files where they can be crucial.
-
Having tags, search by subnet, hostname etc... would be sooooooooooo great! What about a column choser (or views applied to the page) so we could custom-tailor the environment, and refrain to spend our day in SQL!

There should be an option for "Yes, but it expired"

Yay! :)

Here's two more * http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/3011 Worldmaps - Return to default Zoom level * http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/3115 Worldmap - Automatic update of GPS coordinates

Still not part of "what we are working on" after 8 years? Huge pain point for customers...

If Orion was to automagically update Netbox, it would defeat the purpose of a Source of Truth. SOT means that it is authoritative, so Orion would need to update from Netbox, not the other way around. At best, Orion could validate data, but not update it. That said, it's a great use case for Orion SDK and the Netbox API.…

This is already implemented

I just realized that Solarwinds SNMP MIBs files for outgoing traps located in c:\Program Files (x86)\Solarwinds\Common have not been retouched since 2003 and still has issues (typos that makes the MIB file unusable without modification). Also, this MIB file used to interface SW NPM to other system is only an SNMPv1 MIB,…

Exactly the point of lcoughey, not everyone is using iPhones at work...
-
@"the_ben_keen", I came to the same conclusion. Could you shed some light on this question? Thanks!
-
What about simply using the #requires statement in script? If "#requires -version 7" is present in the script, the server could automagically use 7.x?
-
If it had been corrected before I print the page, I would have 16 across correctly as I was hesitating between two words :(

Hopefully, your version of "world" will include Canada...

So, auth via MSAPI is broke or not supported anymore? Thanks for sharing this, I lost at least half a day on this issue... My concern about this "fix" is that the Advanced AD supports only one server. MSAPI typically uses whichever AD in the domain that answers... @"jblankjblank": could you confirm?

I cannot use the "Edit Node" button on a node where the agent status is "Plug-in error"... I cannot also list or manage Node's ressource list : This error prevents me to change anything (like Caption or node's custom properties) on that page and submit. ( ) I've found out after creating this Idea that the NetPath plugin…

That would save us a lot of time and why not implement also a native report of who's group a node is member of, on the node detail page?

Have you tried the Custom Graphing: Fun With Highcharts solution posted on Thwack? If yes, have you seen any performance improvement? I want to give it a try, to have a better visual, but cosmetic changes are low priority these days... I could re-aim that project, would be nice!
-
Sure But when you compare a network plan with what it's in SW, it would be usefull (and less prone to errors) if they were noted the same way.

10.7 GA was in our portal today... and there is a release note Thanks rob.hock

We poll & receive traps/syslog from our loop back addresses instead of interfaces, this way we always have the expected behavior, whichever route is being used. This was put in place as a workaround in our installation, but we appreciate now that it is standardized...

Such an honnour! I'll do my best to not deceive you, @"the_ben_keen"

Has anybody seen any improvement? We still struggle to have decent support for a case we opened on December 2nd. I'm fed up with call waiting music, follow-up requests, and I-didnt-heard-back-from-Dev kinda responses...
-
That could easily be done using auth apps (available on every platform, even Blackberry).
