If it could be by CSS, that would not impact you, and help me I just dont feel like hiring a web designer just to write some CSS to make a better adoption success for the end-users and also the technicians, while other products on the market are presented this way...

Bonjour! To add or modify vendor icons, look into "C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\NetPerfMon\images\Vendors" Simply create a 16x16 pixel gif, and name it using the vendor part (first part after 1.3.6.1.4.1.) of the SYSOBJECTID OID showed on the Node Details page. (ie: if your Dell server shows a SYSOBJECTID of…

Another ticket was opened: #757538 - Need documentation for variables that can be used for alerts in NPM11.5 The agent was clueless, and did not seem to understand the issue... after about an hour, I just required the documentation... It took me a while to explain to him what was a trap template and what this is used…

Am I the only one that do not have his logo on the login page anymore?
-
Hey byrona, were you able to test that in production? I'm going down the same path, and I do not find a lot of information on the Additional poller capability.. Thanks

Would you, by any chance, know how to overcome this limitation with v12?

Time to switch to OpenStreet map? This would allow

Regarding the quote, I provided all needed information for 2 different projects with 2 different end clients... but never received the points for those project. (1 has been purchased, the other one still pending). I added you as a friend. If this is the way to "follow" people, the thwack mission should state it. Am I the…

If you place a white header, dont forget to place the text color in the header for the settings & Help links so your users will see it

I opened a case, as per rob.hock suggestion. I had this issue after installing an APE. I was asked for a few screenshots, and they closed the case telling me I should buy licenses If I want. Here's the closing argument of the support agent: "When the NPM is purchased you get a QOE for 30 days, after 30 days you will see…

aLTeReGo is certainly a genius

Is the step 13 of that procedure is really necessary? To my understanding, adding the user (service account) to Performance Monitor Users and Distributed COM Users groups is already giving the needed rights...

Just found out: Selection of multiple nodes will be displayed on the map as a group... WOW! That means I have to reselect everything that belongs to each and every of my 20+ groups, and that when I add or substract a device from a group I will have to edit the map as well as the group membership? Argh...

and the support website (it shows 10.6 RC instead of 10.6) when creating a case. I also found that the link to know more about world maps in the manage section is not working.

Anyway to augment the verbiage on the too generic log entry to at least know on which node/agent the error has been detected on? Would LogAdjuster be able to provite better info? My Core.jobs2_[xxxxx].logs files state: *** Assembly SolarWinds.JobEngine, Version=2.11.0.244, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null, .NET version…

Thanks for sheeding some light on this issue. I was able to go back and fix the only alert rule that was coming over and over again when checks are being done during configuration wizard is ran (along with the 200ish skipped alert rules) . I deleted that unused rule and I am not seeing this warning anymore

Thanks for taking the time to better understand my love-hate relationship with Solarwinds. I hope I was clear enough and did not offended anyone with a bad translation . I really recommend that everyone takes a little 15 min to vent and express how your customer relationship is!

Since I opened the case last week, SW support did not even tried to reach me. Im in the same situation, stuck and its not working... Deceiving!
-
From what I understood talking to the SW engineer, w3wp crashes can be caused by multiple issues. Mine was due to a .NET error, fixed by mostly by repairing the installation.

We had an issue where the backup partition was not upgraded to the intended version. There was a power failure at the switch location and when the device came back up it was on on the backup image, with previous bugs we ironed out by upgrading... Would be nice to poll active and standby image versions to ensure uniformity.

"This beta includes certain items that are mentioned in the What We're Working On for VNQM article, updated August 5th." Would it be possible to know if Juniper RPM support made it to the short list?
-
Thank you so much Great approach to a challenge!
-
Have you been able to fix it? I'm experiencing the same issue on my end.

Per this link https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/Success_Center/LA/Content/LA/LA-Syslog-Trap-Parity.htm , sending an email as a trap action should be available. Which version are you running?

I'm not the same having this issue... please vote for those two feature requests: * http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/3534 * http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/2146

Hard drives status are not available via WMI integration (https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Difference-in-Hardware-Health-by-manufacturer-and-polling-method-for-servers?language=en_US). As a workaround, you could configure your iDRAC (and I believe OMSA as well...) to write OS system events in Windows…

It would be better if the check, and download from the web interface be done at the user level (client) instead of directly on the Orion server (or be given the choice). Like a lot of other Thwacksters here, all my Solarwinds servers are in private networks, isolated from Internet. Admins are accessing thru corporate…
