  • Darn good question. I have the same issue with the "asdm location" in my ASA startup configs. pj
  • The big one right now is a cisco CSS load balancer. Otherwise it's random cisco router/switches etc... But I think it's more related to not checking the most recent saved config against the most recent running. I download both nightly. What I see is NCM reports a config conflict, but when I look at the most recent running…
  • #1 is what I'm looking for. I download my running and saved configs every night! I want to see if anyone is forgetting to do a "wr mem". I've edited mine to check the last 24 hours, but I still get some conflicts where it reports devices with no changes, as having a conflict. Seems random too. ??? thanks, pj
  • Fantastic! This is what I love about Solarwinds; you listen to your customers which helps you build a better and more feature rich product! pj
  • The problem remains the same with a local SQL Express database, if the service stops, your alerts will not be triggered as the AlertingEngine will be in faulted state. I have noticed that is the SQL is not reachable: system down, network path broken, etc... Then avery alert I have triggers and I get bombarded with hundreds…
  • Yes you are correct about the spaces. I also opened a ticket with Solarwinds and we tried very hard to create a filter to ignore spaces or new lines at the end of the configs, but it did not help. I still have the ticket open as I want to see this fixed as well. thanks, pj
  •  I've had the same problem. For me it was the amount of configurations saved from my nightly downloads. I must have had 4 months worth on over 250 devices. It took me 30 minutes to open CIrrus and have it usable. I did two things. One made sure that all device configs where saved in the backup directory. Then cleared out…
  • I have the same issue. I restarted the polling service and that has seemed to fix it. thanks, pj
  • Our company is going PCI compliant and there is a section in PCI v1.2 about running and saved configs (1.2.2). This is why I really need an exact comparison, not just one over the last week. thanks, pj
  • I just noticed that my cisco ASA 5505 does not have a device template. It's OID is 1.3.1.4.1.9.1.745 I copied Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Version 7-1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.669.ConfigMgmt-Commands and updated the OID and it works great. Other ASA models are: 1.3.1.4.1.9.1.670 ASA5520 1.3.1.4.1.9.1.672 ASA5540…
  • Cisco Guard DDoS mitigation appliances and Cisco Traffic Anomaly Detector 1.3.6.1.4.1.9816 It is listed as "wanwall" but cisco owns it now. It does not show a cisco icon.
