Awesome read! I didn't realize how many resources were available for DPI until just the past few days. I would love to see some sort of way to do this on a network device link (i.e. a trunk between key locations) without an external node polling a mirror.

mharvey hit it on the head. You could also add the node by IP rather than DNS if you know which IP you would rather it be. If you go into edit node properties and click "Select IP Address" next to the Polling IP Address field toward the top you will receive a popup that shows the IP addresses that have been discovered on…
