My Trigger is when all apply field MIB is equal to the value CISCO-PORT-SECURITY-MIB:cpsIfPortSecurityStatus field status is not equal to value UP field status is not equal to value DOWN Triggered actions is: Event Log ${NodeName} is ${Status} Send…

I have a Universal Poller that monitors CISCO-STACKWISE-MIB:cswSwitchState (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.500.1.2.1.1.6), under advanced options I have Raw Value, format enumeration, GET TABLE, polling type node. Then in Advanced Alert Manager I created an alert named 'Switch Stack Member Removed From Stack'. Under trigger condition I…

I am not sure why most people think the CLI is so cumbersome and hard to navigate, it is like anything else, you get used to it. The problem I have with the GUI interfaces are instead of it making the change in the running-config, it does it in the startup-config. IE, you make a wrong click and even if you reboot you are…

Any word on the points and badges?

I noticed the issue as well, have a Cisco 2821 using h.323 trunks to a PRI going to Avaya IP Office and VNQM shows 23 Channels when I only have 12 with a D channel configured.

We had a piece of equipment go down at a location and the alert was triggered. We called the site and got someone to go the the data rack, We asked the usual questions, does it have power, what lights do you see, ethernet cables connected, what switch port are they going to, etc., after 2 hours of troubleshooting with the…

Yes on my main poller, it also receives my flows, that is correct. The flow storage database, my SQL database and my application server/poller are 3 separate servers. When you install the NTA on the main poller, it will ask you where the flow storage is located and give you the opportunity to point to the flow storage…

Issue is not quite fixed yet. I have 2 Groups lets call them group A and B, I have views restricted by account to either group A or B. No matter which account I use, I see the "cross contamination" in Netflow -> Conversations. Still miles ahead of where it was.

According to SolarWinds, they currently do not support the Avaya gateways so you can't get the PRI utilization. Maybe the next version/update will support it.

Disturbedguy, You can look at Riello OIDS here: ipmsupport.solarwinds.com/.../oids.aspx The APC UPS OIDS we use are: Serial Number 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.1.2.3 Battery Capacity Remaining 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.2.2.1 Battery last replace date 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.2.1.3 Temp Probe current temp 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.2.3.2.1.4…

In my Cisco devices it picks up on the field snmp-server location. You have to test the address at http://www.openstreetmap.org, this is where it pulls from, I had to adjust some of my strings to what that website recognized, for the most part it populated most with no intervention.

Avaya gateway support, please!!

Here's how I did it, and I just went from server 2003 SP2 to server 2012 R2. I ran the software and let it install, just don't run the wizard after the software installs. When the time came to move over, I shut the services down on the old server and ran the wizard on the new and voila, I was back up and running. I even…

Here's how I did mine. I installed the NTA on the same server that is running NPM. As for the storage application for the NTA flow server, it is the same file, when you launch it, it will ask if it is the application or storage.

This gives you a basic idea of my cube....

Instead if IP address is equal to 192.168.xxx.xxx try NodeID or NodeName. See if that changes anything.

How is the netflow export setup in your device? Is there actually data flowing at the times you see no data in NTA? What export version are you running? I have noticed in my environment that if there is a large file transfer or netflow ongoing, my router will not "dump" the information to NTA until the buffer/cache-timeout…

Just messed with this myself this week. Running 10.5 so far. Here is what I learned. The alarm only goes of once for each "down" event, if the time stamp is the same as it was or no new object went down than it will not sound again. Also, you do not have to be on the alerts page. You can add a resource to the page as in…

I just closed my web browser, reopened it and went to our SolarWinds NPM page and it took me right in. Why didn't I have to log back in? (Did you actually log out? No? That's why....)

You can got to here and cherry pick what you need as well: Videos Resources – SolarWinds

Disturbedguy, You will need to add custom pollers yes. Then assign those to your UPS devices. You can see by the attached picture some of the information that you can collect.

Do you have 2 instances already programmed? If so then your out of luck, correct, if only one is, then you can do a second.

Kiwi Cat Tools....we use it to go out 2 times a day to our DMVPN router and get the CDP neighbors. It then puts that in a html webpage and emails it out to us so we know when a DMVPN EIGRP tunnel drops. It could be used to take an inventory as well I am sure.
