Hi Frank, you can install your ETS on the same machine as your Orion and have it accessible via remote desktop, but not natively in a webbrowser - as it is the win32 application... Peter
-
Hi Frank, Thinking loud - did you try to set a history retention to 1 day? At the end, during the database maintenance, all older data should disappear... Let me please know if this works for you. Regards Peter
-
Hi Napoleon, tere is no such indicator in UI but you will be notified by Orion Event if your any (L2/L3) jobs were not completed on time. As the min. possible interval depends on many factors - Server performance, network size, complexity and configuration etc., its almost impossible to estimate what is a minimum however…

Hi, I've forwarded this to our Dev. team for investigation. Please bear with us for a moment as currently prioritizing Customer Issues ( like performance and scalability etc..). I will let you know once researched.. Thanks for understanding Peter

Hi, those 50+ tools are available as desktop Win32 apps. in the other installation package. Then, by running Toolset integration tray and allowing Toolset integration in the Orion server, you can also trigger desktop tools from the Orion web Console. Does this help? Peter

Hi, controller needs to be added to UDT in order for lightweight APs to provide the info. If you have NPM you can do it from there too as the Wifi "module" in UDT is shared with NPM/Orion. In case adding controller didn't help, please contact our support so they can check with you if all snmp information is correctly…

Hi Brian, Active directory provides only IP, the user name and login time in events we can poll. Therefore, users are tied to IP addresses only and not to MACs whic are more unique identifiers. This of course doesn't ultimately tell you anything in case endpoint IP changes often (DHCP). Peter

You still can access the deprecated tool version, just go to the :\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Toolset and look for Deprecated_MIB-Browser.exe Does that work for you please? Peter
-
Jamie, looking in our customer database, I can see several SWIDs associated with your name. Could you please email me the correct SWID (can be seen in your customer portal) to peter.ksenzsigh@solarwinds.com ? Thanks Peter
-
Hi Jamie, let me please check with the licensing team what can be done for you. Regards Peter
-
By other switches you mean again Arubas in stack or different vendor/non stacked? I would recommend openning a support case so you would have your devices checked for SNMP compatibility. Peter
-
Hi Adam, could you please contact our technical support? They can help with this type of issues pretty fast usually.. Thanks Peter
-
Hi Mani, just wondering, did this happen after an upgrade of any of the named products or just like that? Also, isn't it possible there was a change in AD setup so UDT stopped polling needed events? Peter
-
Hi, you don't need to monitor same interfaces in NPM if you have them monitored in UDT already... Peter
-
Could you please contact our support? We so far didn't hear any feedback like this so it may be something specific... Peter
-
Hi Daniel, Right now we automatically add these ports into UDT however they are not monitored unless selected by a user. Considering they are not monitored and therefore not consuming a license, is it still a problem please? Thanks Peter

Hi Danielle, Engineer's Toolset comes with 2 installers in the download file - one installer for desktop and one for the Web toolset. The toolset on the web should be installed and activated on the same server as you have other Orion products in order to intagrate to make it integrated. Does this helps please? Peter
-
Cześć Jaroslaw , there are 2 toolset installers (one for your desktop and one for the Orion server) and 2 activation keys allowing you to have these two running on 2 different machines. Does this help please? Peter

Hi, could you please raise a support ticket for this search issue? Reason you can see that MAC listed multiple times in the AD-HOC reporting is that it shows not just direct connection ( Admin1_3) but also indirect ones, to other devices - note the icon left to the MAC address column ... Peter
-
Wooly, does your 4507 contains any L3 info? ( or any other of the devices discovered by UDT?). Regarding: "No MAC addresses or IP addresses appear on ports for cisco devices entered into our NMS" - As there isn't integration between NCM and UDT on the level of discovered devices, you have to run separate discovery in UDT,…
-
Hi Greg, - if you just import all ports, does it work? - have you tried to import all of the ports and then to un-manage those you don't want? ( trunks?) - could you be please more specific on how do you use advanced filtering? ( what has worked before and now isn't?) Thanks Peter
-
Hi, This sounds like a really good support candidate... Could you please create a ticket so we can investigate this further? Thanks Peter
-
You can find all endpoints listed per node in the Active endpoints report, which you can run from web (home-> reports..) and customize it in the Report Writer ( app installed together with UDT) I hope this helps Peter
-
Hi, there is a section in the admin guide about Setting up polling of user data across domains, page 67. http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/udt/docs/UDTAdministratorGuide.pdf Does this help please? Peter
-
Hi, Currently whitelist doesn't allow this level of unmonitoring SSIDs (you could exclude the Guest VLAN ip range from the white-listed devices but not specific MACs appearing at this range, unless repeatingly appearing.). We plan to update the whitelisting with condition builder e.g. include any MAC and any Hostname with…

Hi Shawn, can we have a quick meeting on this topic? I think I understand your issue but would like to double check before going to Dev.... Feel free to send my a date/time proposal at peter.ksenzsigh@solarwinds.com and I will reply with GoToMeeting invite. Thanks Peter
-
Richard, this is the first time I hear about this bug and it suprises me, as there are companies which change passwords even quarterly. So I suspect sth rather environmental. Have you contacted support or dev regarding this please? Peter
-
Hi Mike - the trigger condition should be equal to 1. When connecting a new MAC - are you sure that it wasn't connected before? UDT can remember MAC for a half of year easily... Regards Peter
-
Hi, did support got back to you please already and resolved the issue? If not, can you please send me direct email to peter.ksenzsigh@solarwinds.com, with you SWID included, so I can escalate your case? Thanks Peter ps: here are the steps for the license merge described in the detail: SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Merging…

Hi Fred, UDT needs to see poll routers only if they are L3 gateways for endpoint connected to your access switches. If you use L3 switches as access and have default gateways configured in there, then it is OK to poll just this one type of device. Does this help? Peter
