Hi Patriot, once polling detects a device, the alert should be sent immediately. Polling interval however defines the time when the device can be detected unless SNMP traps are enabled.. Reason for the alert being sent even if the device is already gone could be too long ARP table flush interval in combination with long…

Hi Jon, when we introduced QoE for free into NPM and it was the only change so we didn't change the version number. To get free sensors, if you are an existing customer, there in an option to upgrade using patch only so you don't have to download and install full bits again. Therefore, unless you have downloaded and…

Yes, the process should be the same. Peter

Hi Eric, your issue actually deserves a Support ticket rather a feature request. Could you please raise one? If you ping me (here or via PM) a ticket number, I can make sure this get appropriate attention. Thanks Peter

When adding new devices/ports via Network Discovery, you can select from groups of ports which are up, admin down, operationally down etc. You can go to also go to UDT settings> Port management and re-select whatever you are interested in.

Jeremy, vendor identification based on MAC address is on our roadmap as is the most voted feature request for UDT. Implementation of this into a whitelist is also on our roadmap, but has less priority and since requires a lot of changes in the whitelist architecture, it may not get to the next release. Peter

Hi Sid, could you please contact our tech support? Thanks Peter

Hi, could you please be more specific on how it fails? ( what does the error message say? ).. thanks Peter

Hi Mahmoud, I'm not aware of a such possible alert. However, we plan to introduce a new IP conflict resource into IPAM with extra data if UDT is integrated... We can have a meeting where I can share a beta bits with you so you can tell if this meets your goal or not... Please see your inbox for invite details. Peter

Hi, I believe you are actually right in the cause of your issue. So I wonder - haven't you tried an experiment - to add a vlan interface under monitored ones, to see if it doesn't improve the visibility of the desired information? Peter

Hi Ajay, these two tools are trully different serving different purpose. Sonar in NPM helps you discover and add devices into monitoring of NPM and other Orion (web) based products... Engineer's Toolset Sonar does this for monitoring in Toolset only. So depending on what you are trying to achieve, you may want to run Sonar…

Klinnex, this doesn't seem like UDT related question. Could you please raise it in the appropriate product thread? Thanks
-
HI, Yes, you assume correctly! L3 devices needs to be polled by UDT in order to get the IP/Hostname in... Regards Peter

Hi Jim, our team is actually working on this for the next release. Please see following article for more details: What we are working on for UDT 3.1 Peter

Jeff - you can activate more license keys (seats) for web toolset on your orion server and therefore allow respective number of users to use the Toolset on the Web. You will only have to login as admin and assign these seats to existing Orion users. E.g. You have 10 ETS licenses = 20 keys. 10 desktop keys can be used on 10…

Hi Lindsey, our tech. support has experienced this anomaly too and the root cause is most likely the way those vlans were configured on the device. Copying one vlan from another didn't put it into vlan membership table as it should. This should happen all automatically on the side of the switch so not sure what other…

This alert is triggered everytime a MAC changes a port or disconnects and connects to the same port. By acknowledging the alert you remove it from the UI but the trigger condition will remain 1 so the alert can appear everytime MAC "moves" ... Does this help please? Thanks Peter

This can happen when you apply BD incorrectly. If that is the case and Rogue Devices stopped working after applying BD, try to re-apply it. Peter
