it's your own tech password, if you have your tech linked to a client, it's not that one unless you make them the same, it will be your tech account itself which might be different from your client. Login as a tech only account that is not linked to a client to confirm.
-
Add your not-so-admins techs to all Tech Groups, and give them a new tech permission that has all optionm ticked (or what every you want them to do...). Then change their Account Type from Admin to Tech.
-
Try disabling your old client connectors and create new ones. certificate information is no longer trusted, and some users might have cached pw, so that's why you are see some working, at some point all of them will expire.

Don't edit the assets, Go to Settings - Assets - Manufacturers & Models - Then search for Dell, go to the Model editor tab, then for each model change the type to desktop / laptop etc. Also for the attribute mappings also tick "do not overwrite existing value" for model. Then try the sync again.
-
The only limit you can set is per upload. Settings - General - Options - Max attachment size
-
Upgraded WHD resolved that one. Does your import fail?
-
Can you post screen shots of your reports ?
-
How about a road map then?
-
best contact SW with a support call about this one
-
Did you try a local SMTP server?
-
It would email straight away during the ticket save process, without queuing or waiting for them to be scheduled. This is the setting I've been using for over 10 years. BTW What version of WHD are you using?
-
See this page support.solarwinds.com/.../Customize-the-Web-Help-Desk-GUI-language-and-labels
-
I5t located on the server itself. See custom labels within the documentation on how to use it.
-
Checkout the API documentation
-
When importing the data change the "sync based on" to serial number, this will stop duplicates. If you don't need to use your own asset number leave those cells blank in your excel document and WHD will create it's own using the next available asset number.
-
Try setting the recipient threshold to 0
-
Have you a local smtp server you can use to test out going emails ? Can clients receive email updates from a ticket?
-
Are the clients or tech inactive/disabled? Look in the history section of the ticket itself for any trace of communication
-
Using the whd API would be the best option for this.
-
Add text to the "instructions" field for each request type. The text will appear within a green box for the client when they create a ticket.
-
Try looking at the custom label template file foubd on the server and substitute the text
-
Asset numbering is automatic, during the the import process either allow the next free asset number to be automatically be assigned by leaving it blank or set the asset number yourself withe the import template, e.g. starting at 10000
-
You can't control a ticket status using a time based event, as there are no back tasks that manage tickets that way, only Action Rules, which only runs when someone updates or edits a ticket. I'm made a request many years ago for time based processes, but you might have better luck contacting them.
-
within the discover configuration attribute mapping tab, tick "Do not overwrite existing value" for all 'Asset Number', "Asset Type" and "Model." Set the Asset Sync as 'Serial Number' to ensure you don't get duplicates Let the assets come in, then go to Setup - Assets - Manufacturers & Models, then change the Asset Types…
-
I don't think it can be done. You could place a feature request with SW, but they haven't fixed/improved Parts and Billing for years.
-
I suggest you submit a Solarwinds support call, looks like they've broken notes in 12.7.4
-
Do you use Assign Discovery connectors, as these will bring in assets again? Can you provide details of how you have these configured and an asset example?
-
You'll need Client Admins: Set up client admin roles (solarwinds.com)

You could have a space after the asset number or serial number in your CVS import file. Check that all asset numbers are all different within your CSV, if your import key is serial number, keep the asset number blank
