Yes, I have tried that repeatedly and the UnDP does not maintain the "No" selection. although it also has not view box checked. To restate, I cannot select No for the Web Display and have it stays that way. Neither is the poller removed from the web page.
-
Understood. If you mean on the Web Display page in the UnDP, then I already selected the "No" radio button. The raw poller still shows on the web page.

Thanks Lubo, but I still got the error when I tried to re-install SRM. Do you think I could safely delete ALL tables with "SRM" in the name in an effort to get rid of the error?
-
Yup. That and the fact that the Add Resources window is too "scrunched up".

Now that's what I'm talking about!! Made my day Rob Hock. Worked perfectly. I even saw that I could change the font size while I'm at it. BTW, how would I make that font bold? Thanks again.

Yes, I'm envisioning a custom SWQL query (not SQL if I can avoid it) that would use a custom property that dynamically maps the source interfaces in the report to the customer logged in. Not usre how or if that will work, but again - my main goal is to simplify and automate the process of a customer generating their own…

Current polling interval is 1800 secs and timeout is 300. Increased the timeout to 1000, then 1500 secs and poll still fails. Only unchecking the "include subdirectories" option will allow it to pass. Any other ideas?

Exactly. I just tested the alert again, and I can see the steps being taken and completed. But, the Notes field in AlertStatus is empty and the email is empty. IS there an alert log that I can check?

OK, that last change at least caused the script to run correctly, but now the statistical result seems to be incorrect. The first screenshot shows the space information for the target node from the NPM node details page, while the second screenshot is the output for the Linux monitor script. Why the discrepancy?

Did you mean to say “GROUP BY” instead of “Order by”? However, when I insert “GROPU BY [Device] ASC” after the Order by statement, I get an error in the query. Did I get something wrong?

I second this request for a clarification on this issue.

mharvey, I think I am looking for NodeIDs that are in the DiscoveredNodes table, but NOT in the Nodes table, correct? I made a quick examination of the NodeIDs in those two tables and saw some that were the same and some that were not. So, how can I list nodes that have been discovered, but not yet added to the database?
-
Thanks, mharvey. That is most of what I need. I still need to know if a listed node was designated as Found or Changed, and I also want to list the polling server name as well as the Engine ID. Thanks for your help.

Looking to speed up the scan. So, if the first string in the list is the most prevalent on the network, the scan will proceed faster, right? So, I suppose the answer is that Sonar hits each device or IP with the list of strings until one clicks, or until the list is exhausted, whichever comes first. Then it moves on to the…

Andy, Excuse me for butting in, but if I understand the original question, he was asking if the CPU was responsible for both polling (ICMP) and statistics (SNMP). The answer is yes, is it not?
-
Denny, Is it the Details tables in the database that roll into the NetFlowSummary1 table?
-
Thank you Matthew. Where did you find that explanation? I cannot find any reference to the Pollerchecker in either Core Admin Guide or the NPM Admin Guide.
-
Nope. Does nto work for me. No matter which order I click Submit or Re-apply buttons, the Polling Interval for nodes does not change in the Nodes table of the database. SolarWinds? Open a ticket?
-
No particular problem to be solved, I just want to understand the function of the various tables in the database related to NetFlow.

Yes, we are using the same resource. My formatting looks the same. The error I get is "There was an error processing your request." I'm using 2019.4. Could it be the data format of the LastLogin field?

Anyone else with insider knowledge care to weigh in?

Isn't the 28332 minutes also indicative of the JobEngine sdf files needing to be regenerated? Or, am I mixing apples and oranges here?
-
Ok. Thinking about it though, it would still be OK to upgrade IPAM al lthe way to 2.0 first since that will upgrade the Core at the same time. Right? Or, do I have to do this: 1. IPAM - 1.7 to 1.7.1 2. NPM - 10.0.0 to 10.2.1 3. IPAM1.7.1 to 2.0 4. then NTA and APM in any order

I was searching on this topic and came across this old post. Did SW ever answer the question?
-
That is an excellent suggestion ekis! By the way, it seems obvious that if I disable "record", it will prevent the event from being logged in the Events table, but what does "notify" mean?
-
Actually, now that i look at it again, that file path is the same one listed in the ReadMe file for version 10.x of the Toolset. Does that mean that the locations for Orion and the Toolset are now one and the same? What about for NCM? Does the MIBs.cfg still need to be copied into yet another location to update that…

That query produces an error in the resource. Are there any characters out of place or mis-typed by any chance?
-
If I may jump back into the discussion. I'm not sure what borgan was actually trying to do, but maybe he (or she) was just trying to restate what he read in the post, not necessarily what he understood. Just a thought. You might be surprised how often incorrect information about even the most basic of functionality is…

I see this question revisited with some regularity on Thwack. Maybe it is time for someone at SolarWinds to set the record straight again. Which, if any, Orion processes are multi-threaded? And, if the NetPerfMon service is still single threaded, are there any plans to re-engineer it so that it is multi threaded?
-
kweise, you and I have seen the same behavior. Hard to nail down the procedure that Orion is using. SolarWinds?
