SJA, Unless I'm missing something, no. The trouble is that all log analyzer alerts are associated with the NODE, not the interface. Because of this, the only custom properties you can use are those that pertain to the node.

I would also like to be able to filter out certain tags. In 1.1 I do not see any obvious way to accomplish this.

I also agree that this should be implemented. As you said, Solarwinds has the info in the topology map. Some competitor's products allow you to group interfaces based on topology information, and therefore include / exclude those interfaces from alerts.

Is there a rough ETA for when sub-string extraction will be available? This is probably the feature we are most looking forward to. Being able to search a particular varbind for a particular value would be incredibly helpful.
