ShadowLawz, Your scenario is not a strict migration, as you've indicated, so we don't have any documentation to walk you through the process, but the following steps should help. * Make two copies/backups (e.g. db_B and db_C) of the SW database for your site A installation. For more information about creating database…

smartd, You may find this KB article helpful for creating such a report.

We have a transform for that. See the section "Transforming Poller Results" in the SolarWinds Orion NPM Administrator Guide. HTH

Byron, I've just confirmed with Development that, while there is a Warning status to indicate when a device is "fast-polled" to determine if the device really is down, there is no corresponding event. You can filter on Warning as a status, but there isn't a Warning event to see anywhere. Thanks for helping us clarify this,

patriot, There has not been a release of an Orion NPM 10.1. If you are referring to Orion NPM 10.0 SP1, a readme was packaged with the compressed file you downloaded. As it is, the release notes for Orion NPM 10.0 were most recently updated July 9.

Martin, Can you provide the actual device and OID you are trying to poll?
-
Have you gone through the creation of appropriate dependencies? Grouping devices is one activity, actually defineing their dependent relationships is a second activity. Defined dependencies should allow you to better tailor your alerts to eliminate unnecessary alerts for your environment. For more information, see…

freemen, Your answer depends more on the feature set of your 1841 and 2811 devices than it does on the abilities of NPM. If they can't provide traps, hopefully they at least signal when they switchover to backup. If they do signal by means of a flipped switch that is given an OID, you'll need at least one Universal Device…

Stevenliu1105, I may not exactly understand the nature of your issue, but try using the table name in the variable, as in ${Node.Caption}, where Caption is a column in Node table of your db. Some variables now require the inclusion of the explicit table name. HTH,

sotherls, With respect to reports, by default, your reports are located on your NPM Server in Volume:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\Reports. Simply copy this folder from your old server to your new one. As for maps, open any existing map in Network Atlas. Saving it in Network Atlas puts it into your Orion database.
-
freemen, As for configuration files, you will need: * CustomPropertyEditor.cfg Default location: Volume:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\ This lists your existing custom properties. Alternatively, you could recreate them on your new additional polling engine. * CustomPropertyEditor.exe.config Default location:…

snauzer, If you can find an appropriate OID, you can create a Universal Device Poller to poll the serial number from your Cisco devices, and then include a Univesal Device Poller resource on Node Details view your web console. The Cisco IOS MIB Locator should help you find the right OID to poll. For more information, see…

sonic69, If you are upgrading in place, you shouldn't need to use License Manager. License Manager is most helpful when you need to move an installation from one machine to another.
