If you run against an MS-SQL Database type the HF2 upgrade fails!!! Just a heads-up.

It is a full upgrade and runs the database schema upgrade script as well.

With MS stopping SMTP on O365 in September and forcing everyone to go to OAUTH on Outbound as well then we really need a permanent fix ASAP.

We have a session booked for tomorrow with SW support for one customer but we have many others in the same boat which are with L3 Support already. I don't believe HF2 is anything to do with OAuth issues which is why @"Avadhut.Deshpande" only posted on the other performance thread and not this one.

Don't think this HF2 update addresses anything to do with Office365 Mailboxes, it is more aimed at performance and security issues with 12.8.5 generally.

That is only a medium severity so the choice is yours but if you are going with 12.8.5 then make sure you have HF1 + BD as well. The HF1 is most important for SAML as well but I would wait until HF2.

I confirm I see exactly the same on my 12.8.4 system within the Dashboard, it does not seem to affect the running of the Dashboard at all.

My advise is to reopen your SW support case and get the SW Support Engineer back on the case. As you are aware the BuddyDrop as a test case before an official HF2 is released. More might already be in the pipeline for the official HF2, if not, now is the time to get this reexamined before the HF2 becomes full GA.

Hum, only time I have seen c.s.w.m.u.E.SyetricECBCryptoManger - Couldn't find DES symetric crypto provider for message encryption being recorded was due to the use encrypted custom fields which could not be read. I thought the BuddyDrop with the new whd-crypto.jar was supposed to resolve things like this.

I don't think WHD can do this, It sounds like you might require a Feature Request to be raised.

Have you appended your wrapper_template.conf as per the Administration Guide?

As Google, like Microsoft, are not forcing anyone to use OAuth for Outbound Mail I have never thought it is worth the effort getting this to work. As you may have many endpoint devices which use SMTP then I cannot see that going away.

I think you may have a point if you were having to pay for Assets in WHD but you don't. Software Asset Management does come through OK from something like SW HCO or a Windows WMI.

There is a Hot Fix 1 available now so might be worth applying this to see if this helps. It gets rid of the yellow banner for Tech Admins as well!
