  • I see, great, thanks for all your help.
  • Yes, mines in similar to your example but where and how do you assign it to a host?
  • One thing I did for does that are having similar problem with advance alert is to open Trap Viewer. There, go to View, then Alert/Filter Rules and have Orion log all trap message from a host of interest. Then, simulate what you want to alert. For example, pull out raid hard drive and you will get an alert on the Trap…
  • Alterego, you were right, I needed the latest version of OpenManager for the MIB to be recongnized. Tested while browsing MIB and status came back fine (status of number 3=online). One thing I can't figure out is how to assign an advance alert to a host. With basic alert, there is a "Monitored Network Objects" tab that…
  • Replying to this old post. We now have SolarWinds 9.0. Can you tell me if IIS or any other services can be monitored within Orion? Also, what about the WMI support in this version. Does this version support WMI monitoring now? Thanks....
  • I did get some of the OID to send info. back but other are still failing. Do you think it has something to do with the version of OpenManage or is it an OID that dell doesn't support anymore? Thanks....

  • Here is the OID from Dell. 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10893. Still, I tried many of the ones on this list and they failed. I'm I doing something wrong?
  • No, I don't have the OID number but the MIBs are on link below. Dell has several MIBs that are free to download at http://ftp.us.dell.com/sysman/DCMIB52.exe . It there an easy way to compile this into SolarWinds import format? Compiling this MIBs will greatly help many people that have dell systems. Thanks.....
  • I tried using DNS component monitoring and changing the port to 514 but it didn't work. I am trying to monitor syslog info. port.
  • Yes, but none of these do what I want to accomplish. In particular, I wanted to get alert on when a hard drive or array go down/offline. There isn't one for this there.
  • So how can we monitor UDP ports in APM?
