When you have 1500 instances doing this manually is a joke. This is what makes SolarWinds so painful for environments with more than 3 or 4 servers.

Dell chose SCOM as the preferred monitoring platform which provides m1000e monitoring. Not sure what you can get from SNMP.

This is what I do but the nightmare is you can't put a component into Unmanaged Mode. So if you have a template with 1000 URLs and 10 are being worked on you have to put the whole template into UM. Or, create 1000 unique templates for each URL.

We go through the same thing - servers are up and accessible ICMP but RDP is not available. Happens during patch weekend every month. What the world needs is an RDP synthetic login check, rather than a port check for 3389.
