I am absolutely floored by this. WOW. Thanks to you and the team for listening to the community and providing us with this absolute knockout of an update.

*ahem*…

Amazing stuff! Finally we have the ability to tinker with this. Just remember... tinker at your own risk!
-
You could differentiate the switches using Groups or Custom Properties, then filter your report based on those.
-
The correct syntax for using Custom Properties in NCM is: @ContextNode.CustomPropertyName I'm going through a project right now where I'm appending a custom property to the end of our switch hostnames, the script looks like this: script SwitchRename (NCM.Nodes @ContextNode) { string @NewNodeName = @ContextNode.NodeCaption…

Welcome back sir! There's been a lot happening on THWACK, we're happy to have you back as a part of it!

Third and likely final update. Managed to get my scrape script for the GSuite status page working, so now we've got our three main cloud apps represented in the new Orion Maps:
-
Great work! I can't believe how quickly you whipped this up. This is a seriously lacking resource within VMAN, you made short work of it sir

Turns out it's a lot more involved. zackm birthed this beautiful baby yesterday: SELECT i.Traffic.ObservationTimestamp AS [TIME] ,i.FullName AS [INTERFACE] ,AVG(i.Traffic.OutMaxbps) AS [MAX XMT] FROM Orion.NPM.Interfaces AS [i] JOIN ( SELECT TOP 10 a.Traffic.InterfaceID ,AVG(a.Traffic.OutMaxbps) AS [xmt] FROM…

Yeah, I'm looking for a way to apply a SWQL filter to a custom chart that uses this idea. I only want to chart specific interfaces based on their IP. I'm trying to learn enough about SWQL to be able to apply this kind of thing to a filter

I've been trying to find a way to monitor IPSEC tunnels, but I haven't had any luck. Do you know of a way to see how many bps are running across a VPN with Cisco ASA's?
-
The search bar was included in the v12 beta, I'd wager it will make its way into a future release.

Great addition to NPM Thank you for posting! Currently running this on 10.6.

I've found that the map won't load any more than 51 locations (at least for me). I modified the code slightly to place nodes on the map based on a different custom property. I'm using "Location Name" instead of "City" so each node has its own icon regardless of which city it's in, but I can't imagine that would cause the…

Incredible stuff Marc! Very generous of you to share

Almost forgot to shout-out zackm. You are the real hero for pushing me to solve the problem

Thanks for this comment, it was the "Lattitude" that was giving me trouble. Here's a running list of how many of them need changed to "Latitude". DisplayMap.aspx: 1 DisplayXML.aspx.cs: 2 UpdateLatLng.aspx.cs: 1 mapping.js: 1 You can also open the node details in a new tab/window by adding target="_blank" to the makeInfo…

Here's my take, branded for my org: Alternative Perfstack Colors

Here's an updated version of this tool: Node Downtime with Duration and Minimum Length Filtering
-
Yes, I've upvoted it and made some comments. I'd love to hear from someone at SW with some detail on why this feature is being left out. Thanks for posting it here! The more visibility the better.

Any plans for AD integration? Chasing down users is time consuming. This is a critical feature that a lot of other products offer out of the box.
-
No plans to integrate URLs into NTA? It's hard to tell where a few gigs of data are going if it's headed to Akamai or Cloudfront, or AWS...
-
I've always found this silly. "Unlimited" licenses just means "as many as the native polling engine can handle, but after that you have to pay more money for more polling engines".
-
Well, I suppose I should clarify. My concerns are more with Orion itself. When it tends to have issues (at least for me), agent communication is usually the first thing to go. I do have support cases open for these issues.
-
Since the Remote Collector was pushed out to this iteration, does that mean the agent structure it uses is being re-evaluated? I'm concerned about stability if it's going to use the current agent as it exists today.

* Improved Device Support - We're building additional support for commonly requested vendors. My Ruckus SmartZone is your playground. Tell me what you need and it's yours. I have an SNMPWalk ready and waiting, just let me know where I should send it. It's vSZ-E with a 3-node cluster, 90 or so Zones, and just over 1,900 APs

Think of all the man hours that might be saved by improving the config wizard.... glad to see that on the list!

This is a really big deal. It's felt like SolarWinds has been driven by Cisco products for years.

To be honest, it would be hard to take a step backward from Network Atlas
