Good stuff! Official documentation can be found here: NPM Upgrade Guide - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support

Hi rob.hock, Sorry to bump such an old thread, but I'm running into this exact issue and the new web tool seems to be missing some crucial filter options. If you create a Custom Table in a report and add fields like Unique Name or Avg. Rate (from the Custom Pollers category), the table will churn out data for every poller…

Yes, my environment is looking good also! That hotfix seems to have fixed it
-
Here's hoping!

Give these settings a shot for the connection profile: And this for the template, with 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1407 as the OID: <!--SolarWinds Network Management Tools--> <!--Copyright 2007 SolarWinds.Net All rights reserved--> <Configuration-Management Device="Cisco FTD" SystemOID=" 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.669"> <Commands> <Command…

My goodness how embarrassing. I assumed that the weekday alert was configured correctly, but the signs were obvious. Darn my stubborn attitude lol.

NetFlow and NBAR2 can detect SMB on port 445, but they cannot differentiate between SMBv1, v2, or v3. Safe to say that by the time you can run a report in NTA to look for the traffic, it would be too late anyway Also, check out this article written by a malware analyst who managed to stop the spread of Wannacry:…

As a quick note, that screenshot is from the native Orion report scheduler instead of the NCM Job scheduler, which only allows the CSV/Excel option for certain reports if you are sending them via email: At the moment I don't see a way to have an NCM report exported as a CSV via a schedule that uses an email action. Hoping…

Ha, glad to hear I'm not the only one who had this problem. I was so confused!
-
Note: My Event Log in Orion kept spitting out "Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 5.7.1 Client does not have permissions to send as this sender" errors.
-
Aha! This is what happens when I don't bother to actually check the templates to see what they can do Thanks!
-
Aha! That's brilliant! Thank you so much for the link.
-
Everyone, after getting their points
-
Is this a new hotfix? I only have UDT 3.3 hotfix 1 in my customer portal.

Hey Chris, I wanted to resurrect this for a moment. Over time I've deployed the NetPath probe on a few extra servers in a pinch for testing, but now they aren't needed. It would useful to be able to remove the NetPath probe without completely ripping out the agent. Being able to remove clutter from the list is never a bad…

There is only one interface in use on that router, and it is sending flows. Also I can't get the chart to show both... what's going on?
-
Especially when you're on your honeymoon... that was a good one. My wife was not pleased.
-
UX in the house!
-
That is correct. I worked with support on the issue for a long time and the setup I'm running now was their suggestion. I'll definitely submit it as a bug report but I'm curious to see how others are accomplishing this.
-
If you want to get "fancy" you can use Network Atlas and Custom Properties as discussed in this thread: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/t5/Contests-Missions-Discussions/Here-is-my-one-rotates-between-WAN-with-interface-utilisation/m-p/66831#233251 Shout-out to @"AlexSoul" for that gem

Update! I did some Powershell things and added some SAM applications for Cisco Umbrella and Clever, which are two services our organization relies on heavily. Unfortunately this means I had to move to a Summary View so I lost my custom Perfstack color palette, I'll have to track down the CSS for the widget
-
Can you post the reference that says they should be installed on separate servers? The applications should be on the same box, but the database should be separated.
-
I agree that the documentation is very limited. There's some major improvements coming in the next version of SAM, the RC includes a lot of new features. Hopefully it will also come with some how-to's for those of us who aren't API wizards I expressed this in a UX session a while back so they're aware of it!
-
You should be able to use a Windows Script Monitor in SAM, there are a lot of really great threads and articles here on THWACK and in the Success Center that go into more detail. I've never touched Python so I can't help you much more than that, but I know there are lots of others here who could help if you don't find the…

Our network is a big hub and spoke, and any users from the spokes who want to work remotely must VPN in via the hub. This means that files pulled from spokes over the VPN consume bandwidth in the datacenter. Our top metrics are: - Total VPN users - Avg/Peak bandwidth on datacenter circuits - CPU/mem on core networking…

Thanks @"jreves" and @"KMSigma.SWI"! I added this to our environment

https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Currently-supported-software-versions#NPM Version 10.7 went out of support on March 31st, 2017. I am not sure you will be able to find a download for it on any official channels.
-
I can't seem to vote, is that just me?
-
I ended up whipping up some additional monitoring for services like Clever, Cisco Umbrella, and GSuite. The sudden shift in focus gave me a fun challenge to come up with some new SAM templates
-
Lots of housekeeping to do in my SAM deployment... I've fallen behind. Usually there's a lot less red!
