Hi Sotherls Sorry to trouble you but can you take another look at the sql code you supplied me. Firstly, can a filter be applied to just report on hw_type > servers. I dont need stats from any other device. Also, the current report is producing strange results for some devices in that for outage times and I dont know where…

Sotherls Many thanks for taking the time and effort to create the SQL code for this report. The report does look great and is doing what I wanted it to do. I have to pass it by my customer for approval but hopefully he will accept it is it is. Again, you have been most helpful and if only I could buy you a drink. Good luck…

sotherls - many thanks, we are getting there with your help. I am basically trying to replicate one of the default availability reports that Whats Up Gold spits out. I am currently migrating boxes from WUG to Orion and the report would be a customer requirement. The report I am trying to emulate is below.

I am having the same issues with the cpu stats on my checkpoints. The gauges in orion are showing stats that are peaking at near 100% but whenever I view the cpu stats from the nokia gui they are showing util at around 6%. I then perfomed a mib walk of both my boxes which pulled back the cpu oid of…

yes same issue here. I have a number of cucm boxes and none are showing cpu or mem? Dont really want to use UDPs either until Solarwinds allow us to control the polling frequency of a UDP. example - constantly polling every 120secs for a serial number is daft, multiply this by hundreds and you can see where this is going.…

Thanks sotherls Yes, i require something similar as in total outage duration of a single device in minutes per month. I see your report displays a single event and the time recordrd against this single event. Do you have a sum total for each device per month?

Surely you are reinventing the wheel here? Are you saying you create one apm template per individual oid or are you gouping a number of oids inside one template? I am intrigued.

Can i ask - how are you polling your kit? What IPs are you using?

Thanks for the repsonse Yan. I have changed my trigger conditions as per your config above and have finally implemented the correct variables. I was using the variable named ${CustomPollerStatus.Status} to show the results but the thing what threw me was that when firing off a test alert it would only display the status of…

Thanks David This is a fresh install of NTA v3.0 and not an upgrade. I downloaded the package from the customer portal which contained the following two files: OrionNetflowTrafficAnalyzer-v3.0 Netflow-3.0-Update The installation fasils on the first file. Does the update take NTA up to v3.1?

I too have also tried changing the Y axis in orion but to no avail. Firstly, i identified the chart name and identified the file it was buried in named \Solarwinds\Orion\CustomPollers-NetPerfMon.Charts Within this file it shows the X & Y axis variables (0-120) which I played around with. This did not change anything on the…

Hey These are exactly the issues i have been having with APM which I have deployed to a number of our customers - thanks for providing this post. It seems APM under-performs on large networks or complex environments. Will be keeping an eye on this post.

I also agree - this new view is trying to be clever but it aint. I need my reports presented in a logical manner and this method just throws it all out the window?

Hi Naters - trying to get this working in my environment butnot having much luck :-( I am confused as to which IPs i need to paste into the npm discovery job and the Meraki API key has no relationship to a discovery job? The meraki IPs are all internal addresses that sit within the cloud (192, 10 etc..) so did you…
