  • Good to hear. Thanks for the update.
  • Did you ever get this working properly??
  • That's fantastic news!
  • Yeah I need to get around to testing via ISE still. Noone has really noticed so far so... lol But since other people were having the same issued starting at the same time it seemed likely something changed on that side of things and not likely specific to our tenant.
  • Also seeing the same issue with the 403 errors since 1/3.
  • I like that a lot. Could you share the SWQL you used to display multiple Destinations like that?
  • Thank you that was helpful! An example for that portion in the official documentation I think would be helpful.
  • Probably a fairly common ask amongst InfoSec departments right now. The below document should shed some light. Monitoring Access: How to grant minimum WMI access to the Monitoring Service Accounts - TechNet Articles - United States (English) - TechNet Wiki (microsoft.com)
  • Worth noting the reports pull up just fine within the web console. I only have this issue with the PDF reports.
  • The PDF consists of an IIS error page.
  • Either solution will provide automatic failover, which if configured properly should be seamless to your DB. Yes, configure your SolarWinds servers to look at the VIP or AG IP rather than individual host names of the SQL Servers in the FCI or AG.
  • Good point, it was only officially supported in v12.2. That said I and I know others have been using AG for several years now without any issues and it has never even come up. While I would recommend AG if you can swing it. Recognize there is a significant cost increase when choosing this solution. (Unless you are maybe a…
  • Hey Steven, are you planning on upgrading those templates or providing recommendations to include the proper disconnects?
  • Yeah, I've tried all three workarounds now and am still having issues. Maybe slightly different now. I have a call scheduled to troubleshoot this a bit futher. One thing support had mentioned was to enable form based logon which I need to try yet. I believe by default that is enabled in IIS with Windows Auth. But I was…
  • Correct. Which going back to the original question is a bit concerning as he mentions the server having 32GB and SQL being limited to 16GB. We would really need to see his example to be able to fully understand as it does not add up.
  • What's odd is that after upgrading from v12.1 to v12.3 my Orion Protocol Status only allows me to use numeric value. This initially broke my alert rule that I had configured once I upgraded a couple of months ago.
  • I can tell you that when I did it, it was an entirely new SQL server with new hostname and IP. The main thing is to make sure that all of your SQL and folder permissions are the same on the new server as they are on the old server. It's an easy thing to miss that can cause headaches later on.
  • I'm running into the same issues and have been asked to look at the same type of data to get an idea of how the remote worker experience is. Do you have a ticket open for this or have you found any solutions outside of deleting the route?
  • You can edit your trigger conditions as well as define your scopes. This allows you to get about as granular as you need. I often will use custom properties as a good way to filter and/or exclude certain devices from alerts. But really there are many many options, you will just need to play around and see what works for…
  • I think you are truly splitting hairs as to which is better. Availability Groups have kind of taken over as the new defacto standard for SQL HA and FT. Failover Clustering is the old solid that's been around for years. You can't go wrong either way frankly and Orion will run just fine and both will provide the HA…
  • Hey Mav, Speaking of applications logs. Would we be able to either now or down the road leverage this tool for regex pattern matches and alerting on custom application logs? For instance we have SiteScope deployed and it's only looking at very specific often custom application logs today. It's looking for specific patterns…
  • Thanks for the response. I too opened a ticket and got the same response. Unfortunately the DirectLink account didn't work for me. I'm curious are you using automatic login and/or single sign-on? I'm wondering if that has anything to do with this at all. I did hear yesterday that this is a known issue and that there is a…
  • My understanding is that each action will function independent of one another based on the execution settings. So if you said you wanted the first action to be your service restart, and you wanted it to re-trigger after 10 minutes until the alert is acknowledged(or cleared of course) it would re-attempt that. In your case…
  • My support case is being escalated to the developers. If you've not an open case I encourage that of course. The more they are aware the more attention and hopefully some resolution or valid work around will come.
  • I get that. I'm only telling you what options you have currently. You can see on the VMAN roadmap that they are actively working on the Azure integration. WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON FOR VIRTUALIZATION MANAGER (UPDATED May 11, 2017)
  • No, the white space in the database will likely grow. So think of free space as unused space in a block. The block takes up storage space, but the entire block may not be filled. So over time you get free/white space that will continue to grow. Over time as mentioned above you may want to perform a shrink on your database…
  • Just to be clear, in replicating your exact issue. The only way I could get this to replicate is by bypassing the 'Get Script Output' on the initial edit script setup. If I clicked on 'Get Script Ouput' regardless of whether or not I set credentials to something or 'none'. I would get a successful output and then tests…
  • Sorry, we use F5 and the BigIP Edge Client. We've spent quite a bit of time working with F5 as well and honestly I think the F5 is performing good now. I believe at this point we're looking at the endpoints and their networks/ISPs more likely. I was just curious if anyone else was having to work to prove whether or not it…
  • Appreciate the clarification!
