Does this still not exist today?

No you don't. You're farming points. Don't forget that this is an intelligent community. Your comments on all these old articles add ZERO value. Your commenting for the points, call it like it is.

This is a great idea and one that would really add some additional value to LEM.

Would like to see NetApp and Pure on this list. Lack of hardware monitoring makes it a tough sell.

I share a cube with byrona I'll let his picture speak for both of us....

I hear you on the importance. Kudos for you if you can document at such a level that anyone can follow it. My documentation is typically targeted for peer level. The few times I've tried to "dumb it down" so to speak, I end up missing steps that I don't even usually have to think about, but someone non-technical would get…

Good article. I would also suggest monitoring up front when possible to right size the environment as discussed. When I used to work for an MSP we would often during the initial sales engineering engagements offer to throw monitoring on their existing infrastructure for a couple of weeks to 30 days. This was very helpful…

There is an out of the box H\A sync status change alert that I believe would essentially cover this.

Would really like to see the insight like feature set extended to Palo Alto, as my company has moved exclusively to PA.

Couldn't agree more. I've seen the "Everything to the cloud!" directive first hand and also seen it's failures.

Completed.

Definitely not surprised by the results. Rarely does the hype and reality align.. Wish executives understood that.

I'm kind of surprised SolarWinds hasn't released their own SAM templates for these yet as it's clearly very much in demand and quite possible to get done as outlined in: Re: Office 365 NOC View or Monitor?

I like the potential for AI and in particular to be a tool used and leveraged by humans. That said, I think AI is another big buzzword that may be doing some cool things beyond the public's reach but I'll remain skeptical. We've looked at several tools that claim to have AI, and when pressed the end results are generally,…

Can't wait to try it out!

I have to agree as a systems guy, I'm usually on some sort of Windows based device. Would like to see both WP8 and an app for the Surface tablets/Win 8.1

Always such a gap between those of us in the trenches and those C level folk....
-
Would really like to see this added.

BUMP HTTPS custom apps would be much more valuable than HTTP apps this day and age.
-
Hah, I was thinking the same thing as I started going over the list and realizing I'm really not checking off any boxes...

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing! I've always wanted to attend one of the larger MS conferences... I have to live through others, appreciate the insight.

I like the article and the idea. It makes sense, if you're in a place or a shop that has the expertise in house to build that out. Unfortunately many companies, especially in the Enterprise where the core competency of the company is not IT the adoption of such is going to be very slow.

Agreed. A good list that can be applied outside of just DBA.

Where this at??

These are hostname certificates not SolarWinds specific which is the odd thing. For example let's say my primary polling engine host is Orion1 and my APE is APE3. In the cert store previously mentioned I have certs for orion1.domain along side ape3.domain own certs. This causes some issues when using some WRM based…

I had something similar happen before as well. If I recall I resolved it by moving the nodes to a different polling engine and unmanage/remanage the node and the SAM monitors started working again. After they were working I was able to move things back to their original polling engines.

Do we know if the M365 API templates still work as-is? I can't seem to get any of them to function. I'm getting an invalid token error similar to: Microsoft 365 Exchange Mailbox API poller - "invalidauthenticationToken" I've followed all of the SolarWinds documentation for configuration and permissions.

Dang. @"bshopp" should we expect IPFIX from CloudGennix SD-WAN devices to work with the current version of NTA or no? We've not been able to get a definitive answer from support historically on this and we've too struggled to get it to work.
