My OS is ver 5.0 build 0147. As I said, when I just enable flow from WAN interface. I can see the flow packet from Fortigate to My Solarwind Server by using wireshark. But Solarwind show nothing

Hi, Not enough information to determine Have you tried my suggestion to create 2 groups of devices, one for network administrator, the another for server administrator? I think your objective is just simple, so make your condition simple, too.

Hi, I'm sorry I'm on travelling. I will get back to this issue asap. Thank for your time.
-
Thanks you, I enable flow from LAN interface. NTA now can receive flow from that LAN, but not the WAN interface. I wonder whether it 's a fortigate bug?
-
Hi, My idea is that you should use Groups in this case. Create a group contains all of your network device and another group contains all of your Server. After that use "Alert when a group goes down" and use Group Member as Type of Property to Monitor.. I love that way much:) HTH,

There is an Orion build-in SysObjectID in MIB database. It has been updated in each Solarwind MIB.cfg version. Last 30 days, I has posted my unknown device, but until now no update.
-
Hi, Could you attach screenshots about your errors?
-
Opening a support case is the way I do not want to do with just small trouble, however it seem to be the fastest way in this case. I already posted in "Tell Us unknown devices" and hoped that the 10.6 version will update my device, but not. Anyway Solarwinds are working to meet our requirement.

Until now, after 3 times update MIB database, My Solarwind cannot recognize correctly my checkpoint Firewall. What I need to do next?

Thanks for your time, Attachments are my alerts, one for shutdown or down interfaces, the other for remote down nodes. I want when the trunk interface of upside Sw is down/shutdown, only alert for that interface, not alert for downside Access Switch down. Actually I do read the Solarwind book about dependency, but I have…

Hi, I 'm sorry. I uploaded wrong screenshots. It 's another action Send mail, I try to use the variable ${GroupStatusRootCause} in message to help the admin define which device exactly down. I 'm not understand what my alert engine are working now. 0013 and 0805 are working, then I purposefully down 0013, I receive an…

Hi, I upgraded my Fortigate to the lastest OS ver 5.05, but my Solarwind does still not receive any sflow from Wan interface. Attachments are my configuration in FW. Do I miss somethings in somewhere?
-
I 'm not clear enough with your idea. Do you mean the LAN interfaces of my firewalls? I have four internal zones in my Firewall, all need to go internet. I just one to monitor only one interface which connect to ISP. I can set bandwidth on that interface which fit to my down/up bandwidth subscription, and make some reports…

No, I'm not. I disabled VDOM

Hi, In IPAM Admin guide, it does not clearly say SNMP scan is another scan method called "Neighbor Scan", but I believe that SNMP Scan is Neighbor Scan. Please feel free to open that Admin guide and do a search with "SNMP Scan". And "Subnet Scan" is a normal scan from Windows DHCP Server, for example But I get confused…

Hi, I usually config Alert with UnDP. And my case is very like as yours.
-
Hi, Your trigger condition is good enough, don't need to specify one by one. If you need to recognize which poller violates the your rule, you can create an Email Alert with variable ${NodeName} in the Message, because the poller assigned to each Node. Hope this help,

Hi, Actually, not all configurations of AP are controlled by the controller. Your idea is correct in most case, but in some cases like my case, it doesn't make sense. I can control each APs by SNMP now, but don't know how to save that configuration. Maybe it is impossible! But In my mind, I start to think how to instruct…

From the very first until now, I always mention configuration in the same box, my company's. I can upgrade/downgrade its OS version as I please.

Hi to reply to this old post. Today I also get into this thing. I do many things but cannot suppress High Packet Loss Monitoring. Then I think about the logic of Alert Suppression and Trigger Condition. The Suppression Condition should happen before the Trigger Condition in order to suppress that alert itself. Therefore I…

That NPM is version 9.5 but I think the version of NPM is not the root cause. Because I also check another NPM ver 10.5, it also get wrong value of total memory. I cannot give you SNMP walks now. But could you test in your environment? Cisco devices are very common.

Thanks for reply, Does dependency know what type of alert and what type of action such as shutting down, unplugging cable I am doing? To my case, I has already add shutdown action in trigger condition for the alert. The alert for shutdown interfaces fired well. My dependency does not prevent alert of child objects.

Hi, Yes I do the same as you said, but the number 40.6 and 40.7 still show up. I have no idea what numbers are Thanks you, I just want to know is it possible to name each item seperatelly.

I has posted my sysOID in "Tell you unknown device" last 6 days, and how to make sure my OID already have in solarwind build-in systemOID in next upgrade MIB database?
-
Hi Jonathan, At the time I took the screenshot, only 0013 down, but 0805 and 0811 were working properly, and Solarwind was still monitoring them as up. Please ignoring other nodes, because they are access Switches, maybe some end-user PC turn off. I mean the 0013 down in reality, the 0805 and 0811 do not down but alert…

Thanks you, I will upgrade my Fortigate and feed back to you right after.

Hi, I monitor all active interfaces of my Fortigate in NPM. Beside the purpose of finding out which IP use most bandwidth, I also need to monitor how utilized Internet line is To your statement, I have to correct you a little bit. When you do not manage 1 interface in NPM, but your NTA receive flows from that interface…

I use port 2055 to send the flow. That is default for NTA?
