Scripting is the extent of my coding. I tried my hand at coding two decades ago. As much fun as it was, I quickly realized that my strong suit was hardware. I have nothing but respect for coders.

I can say that I like the security concepts of containers, if they pan out.

Once again, it comes down to the tools in the toolbox. Choose the tools that give you information you need. SNMP still provides valuable information to network monitors and as long as it does, it will remain a tool in my toolbox.
