Bump! anyone please?

Try another SMTP server that doesn't require authentication, SMTP relay server....if you have. Looks like the logs says it has something to do with the account you use is not authenticated, thus it should be right? if you think you are using the correct credentials then I suggest you contact or create a support ticket kind…

I think, as long as the maintenance is updated then no problem on upgrading it. Else, u may contact your account reps or any solarwind customer service

Recommendations: 1. Per Device ( ex. poller 1 = all cisco| poller 2=all servers| poller 3=other) 2.Per Site (ex. poller 1 = site A to B | Poller 2 = Site C to E) If you have NTA, APM or VoIP installed, did you buy the additional poller versions of the modules for the new pollers so that each poller could monitor any node,…

Just wondering why do you need separate alert just to suppress the other. What I did for example is that when a node goes down it will alert me but I don't want to received an alert from specific device, so Using the expression below I am no longer receving alert from that device NodeName is equal to NodeA
-
Did you try ; NodeName is equal to NodeA
-
C:\Program Files\Solarwinds\Orion\swAlert.log
-
Have you apply SP2 and/or hotfixes?
-
Are you saying that you should not get the HIGH PACKET LOSS Alert since that node goes down eventually? I hope I did get you correctly...... What about the trigger condition TIME? how did you set it up? (specific duration time where the conditions you set still exists) My only reasoning for this is that since the High…

Have you configure the Interface Bandwidth in Orion? or it's set to default? (i think the default is 100MB or 1Gb)
-
It record all events in the network that being polled by it. Devices that are not being polled by NPM can see any event on that devices. Or you can be more specific of what events you wanted to have. APM can gather event logs from servers, Syslog can gather logs from cisco devices, uptime/downtime, cpu load, memory…
-
you may want to "poll now" or "rediscover" the node.
-
1. do I need to stop a service each time I need to organise what nodes go to which polling engine? Ans. It's one of the best practice (stop services) when you transfer a node or group of node from one polling engine to another 2. Shoul a polling engine server be unreachable will the node use the other polling engine? Ans.…

Good Job GOB. Thanks for sharing man! May I request somethin like a Graph of the report?
-
You have to redo it bro, check again the source code of that table. 9.5 is now written in java/aspx while 9.1 was in html.
-
I dont think so. If you really wanted to know how many nodes/elements are being polled by UnDP....You should be looking at UnDP itself manually
-
But we find that one of the poller still has data gap. So i assume that this was because of the custom pollers handled by that polling engine or am I wrong? Data graps can be caused by a number of different reasons: 1. SNMP requests refused or timing out on the remote device 2. ICMP (Ping) timeouts or refusals on the…

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how to configure Orion to send HTML alerts via email. Have you tried this? I have configured numerous alerts which I would like the ability to include hyperlinks to KB articles etc You have to create custom html or page for this one. Hope solarwind should include on their road map the…

absolutely interested on this (as well as if possible for checkpoint)

Try first to check for issues with your current installations and see if some of them are related to the changes that were made on the recent version (10.1.1), you may also want to check the features or hot fixes release notes and find out if you really need it.....if not......then you can stay foot and wait for another…
-
Try using custom property editor (if you haven't done yet) then group all your nodes into your desired location. then go to network atlas, from there you can sort out the nodes
-
Is it possible for people that don't have admin rights but do have node management rights to do bulk updates? For example, if I only had node management rights would it be possible for me to go and change the polling interval of all the interfaces on the nodes that I manage in bulk versus doing it one at a time? Yes this…
-
It is possible in APM
-
I have the same problem...one of my polling engine which is a primary one suddenly stopped. I have tried restarting it through MMC services but it doesn't fixed the problem, also tried to reboot the server itself
-
Did you try setting up Reset Condition (reset when trigger conditions are no longer true) or unchecked execute this action repeatedly.......
-
a) how the "Node Details" are populated and b) how can I change them? I just don't want a bunch of redundant information or having like information in 2 places on the page. a) Via SNMP. Information's of the device captured by SW via SNMP b) You need to choose either to view either custom node details or node details, it's…

It can be turned off with a workaround It's a bit of a hack, but it's possible: Edit the file “C:\Inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\js\NetObjectTips.js” and remove the following lines: $("a[tooltip!='processed'][href*='NetObject=']").livequery(function() { this.tooltip = 'processed'; $.swtooltip(this); });
-
correct me if Im wrong, AA:181 is for application monitoring. Does your APM collect data ?
-
It really unclear to me what you did...but Have you tried to go to account manager edit the account you are using and change Menu Bar, Home Page View, and Default Summary View? it is under Default Menu Bar and Views
