Yes I have this Document and used Username as root/Root and pass: password and still not working I think I am going to reach out to VMware about that maybe something changed 

I already tried that as Username: Root/root and pass: password and it didn't work with me

@"tsadler" I downloaded the OVA file and I am trying to import it into my lab environment and photon is asking for user and pass I used what exist on PDF Root password and it not working , what did you use ? 

I just joined the group running it on my lab laptop on my Browser for now until fixing the VM issue
