Hi trebor11584, I do not think that we have that feature in Orion NPM. The escalation in Advanced Alert is to repeatedly execute the Trigger Actions after an Alert is Trigger Condition is met once. At this moment, I do not think that we have the capability to perform escalation to different tiers that you require. HTH.

Hi Mike, Are the devices SNMP-enabled? If you have the OIDs that holds the information that you would like to monitor, you can easily do it via Universal Device Poller. The following is the video tutorial: Create a Universal Device Poller (UnDP) in the Orion Platform - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support

Hi daxvancamp, In NPM 10.0, it uses both SNMP and API to poll the statistics for ESX server. Are you able to confirm if you have added the correct credentials for the ESX server? This option is available when you Edit the Node in "Manage Nodes"

Hi WBolten, At the "Filter Results" tab, you can actually change the complex condition from the default "all" to "none" You should see the following in your "Filter Results": Select records where NONE of the following apply Records where Caption contains KEWORD And that will help you to exclude those elements from the…

Ibrowne, In NCM, you can set up "Compliance Policy Reports". In the Report just set it to look for the CDP command in the configuration of the device. With the Policy Reports, you are able to create Rules to validate against the Configuration Backup that is retrieved from the device. And for each Rule, you will be able to…

Hi mdavis911, I remember that the actions allowed logging to a file for Syslog Viewer and the variables might be able to split the file.. But when I check it up against the NPM Admin Guide on Pg. 219 (of NPM 10.0), then I noticed that it might not be possible... The following is the information extracted from the Admin…

Hi Rich, You might want to have a look at SAM - http://www.solarwinds.com/server-application-monitor.aspx NPM alone does not monitor services, and will not have insight to the services that are causing CPU utilization at that point of time. Coupled with SAM, it will be a different story altogether. HTH.

Hi Dan, To disable the 95th Percentile, please do the following: 1. Log into Orion Web Console 2. Settings > Web Console Settings 3. Locate "95th Percentile Calculations" and set the value to 0 4. Submit The 95th percentile will be removed globally in Orion NPM. HTH.

Hi Ciaran, Orion NPM resolves the 95th percentile on the fly based on the data that is available within the time frame that is selected, and it is not a column that holds that information. Hope that clarifies.

Hi aniketb, You will have to attach the SolarWinds database to the SQL server. From the list that you had indicated, 8 and 9 should be what you were using during evaluation. (8) being the database file, and (9) being the transaction log. If you look into the report folder, you will notice familiar reports that you had…

Mikeluff, Memory are actually categorized as Volumes under the hrStorageTable, and that is the reason why you are seeing Volume alerts for them. Basic Alerts does not have the ability to filter these out. We would recommend moving to Advanced Alert. You can follow the below steps to help you out: 1. Log into Orion server…

Hi Sohail, You might want to create 2 Universal Device Pollers (UnDP) based on the following video: www.solarwinds.com/.../index.html Thereafter, give the following a try, and let me know if that helps Trigger Alert when ALL of the following apply Trigger Alert when ALL of the following apply Poller Name is equal to [UnDP…

Hi Joseph, For this, you will have to do a bit of patchwork here and there and use the "Custom HTML" resource on the Views. 1. In the Web Console: Select in that order [Node - Interface - Chart] And when you select the Chart, it will show you a page with the chart above, with settings accompanied at the bottom. (Right…

Hi rferwerda, Are you wanting to get delta between polls? If you are on NPM 9.5 and above, you can just Edit the UnDP and there will be an option: Show Advanced Option Expand it, and for MIB Value Type, you can choose to use Counter, instead of Raw Value. And in the UnDP Console, you will see that the Polled Values are Raw…

Hi dg, No, it does not seem to be normal. You might want to try manually running Database Maintenance to see if that clears up, as that will remove orphaned information from the database. It is normally ran at 2:15am system time by default - it is weird that it did not clear up. [Start > Programs > SolarWinds Orion >…

Hi flipton, Are you able to confirm if the deleting of the VLAN is on the physical devices, but not on NPM? If that is the case, you will have to manually delete them from the Web Console: 9.5: [Admin | Manage Nodes | '+' on the Node to expand the resources beneath it | select the VLANs that were removed, and delete them…

Will, The Percent Utilization is actually a calculation of the {Current In/Out Bandwidth} / {InterfaceBandwidth} x 100%. Sometimes the SNMP will show up that the Interface Bandwidth is not exactly the value that you are having e.g. Interface Bandwidth is showing 10Mbps, but the device is in fact having 1Gbps traffic going…

What is the significance of licensed nodes versus unlicensed? When I remove operations that were part of a VOIP site the site still remains even if it is effectively empty. How do I remove a VOIP site that has no operations assigned to it. You will not feel it during evaluation as it is unlimited, but when your evaluation…

Jeff, You might want to make use of Custom Properties. [Start > Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Grouping and Access Control > Custom Property Editor] And create a Custom Property for Volumes, and group all drives that are mapped to NAS. E.g. a Yes/No Custom Property called NAS Back to the Trigger Condition of the Advanced…
