ran into the same issue and openned a ticket, I figured it out on my own after awhile though. If you open the NPM database and query the webusersettings table you will find under the user names having this problem an entry in the 2nd column called SettingName that refers to cirrus (the old name for NCM) - there are two,…

In order to import our 500+ subnet ranges into IPAM I did the following: 1. Show all of the routes from our core router (we don't summarize currently) and put it into an advanced text editor (I use text pad) 2. Use regular expressions to remove all the extraneous text and just give me the subnets in a / notation 3. Take…

Anything come of this feature request?

bshopp I would highly suggest that you guys look at how the open source application called NetDisco doest this. It will automatically use the database via cdp neighbor and the routing table to figure out the directly connected node and draw a map for you. I've used it for years and it worked beautifully. There's a ton of…

It would be nice to have wireless client counts that we can customize better than WCS. Can't wait for this capability

Dependencies would be greately appreciated, it would be nice when a site router goes down I don't get 8 additional alerts from the site switches. :(

EDIT: Found my answer why we couldn't see it two posts above... Need to convert to aspx I guess. Can someone please post a pic of step #5? I can't find it under the Summary Reports when I go to add resources. Thanks!

Worked great Mike

This actually relates to all switches and routers. I'd like the ability to set it so that if a port goes from disabled to enabled that Orion automatically starts monitoring it. I'd also like to set certain types of interfaces to never be monitored such as Null and unrouted VLANs.

To be honest I'd love Orion integration just for the advanced reporting capabilities that WCS is sorely lacking on. Being able to provide a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual report of wireless authenticated (not just probing) users would be very helpfull. Also this would allow direct monitoring of the WAP's themselves…

I'm having the exact same issue. I used to be able to group by custom properties in the all nodes and now not all of my custom properties are shown. :(
-
I'd like to add that the user integration should allow specific users to be assigned to specific groups and that they can assign IP addresses in those groups but not be able to edit outside of those groups.
-
That didn't work. :(

Looking forward to this functionality as well!!

I did what jbaulsir did however it doesn't look good when you do it if you have a bunch of custom pollers on a device. To do it you would go to admin then click on manage views, then find Node Details then click edit. Inside of that click on the node details report + sign and then click the Universal Device Poller Status.…

Please contact me if you want some input. I just spent an hour moving things around and adding subnets after importing 44 IP addresses (44 VLANs) Ideally I should have been able to create a spreadsheet with the following columns and import it in one step: VLAN_Name, VLAN_Number, IP_Network_Address, IP_Subnet_Mask,…

I get this error: Invalid object name 'ConfigurationManagement.dbo.nodes'.

Well I've verified this works in a regular SQL query so is this a short coming in Orion report writer? Let me know! Mike

I get the report to email but I get a big chunk of code in the bottom, it starts with: @import url("Orion/APM/APMEvents.css"); and then about 500 lines of code. What's wrong with it?
