that bug was fixed some time ago...... one of the hotfixes......
-
Sure we could unmanage it - manually - but we have 100's of nodes like these that the developers would like to collect statistics on when they are in use for testing. They're all VM's for the most part, and our automated testing process spins them up or back down out of a large pool. And the developers aren't going to take…

I hadn't noticed the .Net errors until I read your comment.... low and behold it's just as you say, no network DTC is enabled... Since we have a multi-poller environment, I assume this re-enable of the DTC communication needs to be done on all pollers + DB server?
-
I'm having a similar issue - I've left my previous company and need to change my email address. I get the same message - 'can't complete, check form', and there's nothing indicated on the form that's in error.
-
The latest hotfix DID NOT fix this problem - I've been working with SW Support on balooning InformationServiceV3 memory issues for two weeks with little progress.
-
In a multi-poller environment with an extra webserver - I assume this change would have to occur on all pollers? Or just the website servers?
-
How about LDAP that isn't AD related?
-
Please - can we keep the comments not related to the thread somewhere else? Please don't waste my email/time with comments like "That little dog is pretty cute lol!" I'm busy with a zillion things to do, like almost all of you are. Apparently not everybody. This isn't a chat room. Keep it relevant to SW12.

1GB limit? What's this?

I run all my SW servers on physical hardware - I don't want virtual servers monitoring their own virtual hosts or other virtual servers. Like many places our rackspace is tight. Anybody got thoughts about running FoE on V12 between physical and virtual servers?
-
I have a Web call with another new CAM from Solarwinds in about 30 mins – I’m gonna ask her about this as well.
-
Yes, I was using SAM as an example. I have departmental users that need to apply SAM monitors to devices in their View (we “Auto” add them to views with specific SNMP location strings – as in if they want to see a new node in their dashboard they have to use a specific string when they set it up, and Discovery takes care…

Any movement on adding better user controls/limitations - SAM in particular. I've got departments that want to dive into SAM templates to experiment on their own SAM templates. How do I deal with that without giving them total admin access?
-
I have the exact same issue - however in my case I have appx. 750 servers (80/20 Windows/Linux split) that have lost their CPU/Mem/Drive pollers because of a database hiccup. Can't find a good way to re-discover the nodes since Sonar just ignores them because they already exist in the databse.
-
As a workaround for this, using Report Writer I copied and modified the "Top 250 Events" default report. I changed it to only the top 25 messages and adding message filter that says "Select Records where NONE of the following apply: Records where Message contains Speed". Then I just customized the Home View by replacing…

I upgraded from 10.7 to 11.5 a couple weeks ago. I am having the same issue where I cannot delete much of anything from the "Manage Nodes" interface.
-
I did some experimenting - this lack of an Edit button within the resource seems to be limited to "Custom Object Resource"..... If I create a "Multiple Object Resource" it's fine, but of course there is a big limitation with that can be displayed that way......
-
I have exactly the same issue, rschroeder and borgan are right. I can customize the page, but not the resources. I am currently on 11.5.2 HF3.
-
I received a buddy drop yesterday that seems to have fixed my issues - it's a SAM hotfix. There's still some smaller issues with it, sounds like the developers are polishing it right now..... meanwhile my Primary and APE's are mostly functional again.

Orion Platform 2017.1-HF2 *DOES NOT* fix the memory leak, or perhaps it created a new one. I've got a ticket open with support, they said that some customers experience it and others do not. My information Service V3 will climb and climb, and I can watch the queues in RabbitMQ get longer and longer until the whole thing…

Another IPAM issue with the F5-GTM's: Apparently the current release of IPAM does not freeze/unfreeze the zone before making changes to the zonefile on a BIND server (GTM's included) - they only use rndc to reload it after the change. Because the GTM is a dynamic DNS server, this causes the journal file for the zone to get…

My SWIS logs are full of these on NPM12.1 HF2 - was there any explaination for these entries?

I made one for our LTM showing pools with zero members available' and total pool members - sorted on the total. You can pretty much derive the orphaned pools and servers from that...

Add the network interfaces from your WLAN controller to the map and it'll spring up. You can do a group object with the Controller plus individual interfaces or make a smiley face with a few tinyLED symbols.
-
I've had that issue when there were defunct account limitations applied to the group. As in, groups of groups limitation had a reference to an old/deleted group. When you delete a group it doesn't clean up after itself with regards to view limitations.

I had this exact problem when I converted from the VMAN appliance 8.1 to VMAN Orion 8.1. This issue I had was that all of our ESX hosts had gotten switched to direct VMware polling. I followed the 'instructions' to convert which said to change the polling method to VMAN Orion prior to disabling integration with the…
