this is a very annoying issue :( Especially since the API docs say that, syntactically, update and create are the same... they are clearly not ...

The answer from their support team was it is not currently possible. So I've opened a feature request which can be found here: thwack.solarwinds.com/.../feature-request---get-create-update-ticket-request-details-as-bbcode-on-api

Good idea. Just submitted a case with them. I hope they come back with something... though judging by how poorly documented this API is, I have very little hopes.
