  • I've moved this into Network Performance Monitor forum because I think you'll get more visibility to this question. Technically, I believe this is a "core" functionality, but we don't have a Core Forum, but hopefully this will help.
  • Awww thanks vjerez4129‌! There will be more enhancements to the store in the upcoming year, but we felt this small adjustment warranted an early release! I am so glad to hear you like it; it was worth the early release! :-)
  • dan.daenzer‌ - I've moved this into Network Performance Monitor forum because I believe this might fit that product a little better and give you some more eyes on your question. :-)
  • This error message is basically stating the template is not in an approved format for the product integration. Most likely this is a zip file and will need to be directly downloaded from thwack rather than the product integration. Let me know if you have any other questions. Rach
  • jbiggley - the answer is "you always need SAM" . Isn't that right aLTeReGo?
  • danielgilbey‌ - I did move it to thwack Community, but I promise there is still a ton of visibility in the thwack Community :-)
  • Locking this thread as this has been answered here and in another forum. To continue communications in regards to this topic, please reply here.
  • Hi pseudocyber‌ - can you send me a screenshot of what you're seeing? Are you attempting to start a "Blog Post" or are you attempting to start a discussion/question? Actual blog posts are restricted to our Head Geeks and Product Managers, but you can create discussions/questions or documents.
  • Another option if the online demo doesn't work quite the way you'd like is you could utilize the GNS3 emulator. It will allow you to build out your network and integrate with NPM so you can get a feel for how things work without affecting your production environment. They have documentation on how to integrate NPM with…
  • Thanks clubjuggle‌ - Looking into it and will post back soon.
  • Hi John, Welcome to thwack! Quick question for you regarding your needs. Would you have a server to install a Network Monitoring tool or is that not a possibility at this time for your non-profit organization?
  • OMG, can I just tell you that I love this post/question Radioteacher! I was having this exact same discussion with one of our other vendors because a while ago we updated to TLS but this particular vendor is does not support it yet. They only support SSL2/SSL3 with their current version of Java. They then followed their…
  • I'm going to move this into the User Device Tracker forum so we this question is present to those who own and use this product.
  • I can't answer your particular question (I'll leave that to one of the more knowledgable peeps on here), but I do have a couple docs that you can peruse for other types of questions. One of our MVP's has pulled together a ton of different threads/blogs/videos to help with customizing and getting to know your SolarWinds…
  • Moved this into the NPM forum; you might find more "eyes" on it from folks who run these types of reports using our report writer.
  • A very simple explanation is NPM will monitor your network devices, i.e. switches, routers, etc. SAM is designed to monitor your servers and applications.
  • Have you looked at the Library & Support page for SRM? There are a ton of resources that might help get you started, and then of course, asking further questions in the community should help, too! :-) I found the SRM Initial System Requirements, but again, there are a ton of resources to review on the L&S pages.
  • Hi dtawater‌ Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This is definitely a bug and not our normal style option. We will get to work on fixing it and will keep you updated. Thanks again! It's greatly appreciated!
  • I'm not sure if you've checked out Corona Technical Services, but they offer an online NPM training class. Loop1 also offers a wider range of online training if you want more than just NPM training. Good luck, and let us know if you have any questions.
  • jjurisch, I moved your question into the SAM forum as I think you will find more responses here rather than under Customer Portal forum. There are lots of great posts and documents for best practices from our community members. Some great people to follow would be Leon Adato, or aLTeReGo or rob.hock or Joshua Biggley or…
  • If you visit our Library & Support page, you will see links to each product's page that will provide you information such as system requirements, how-to's, upgrade advisor, etc. You should be able to find what you're looking for on these pages. I would start with this link that will take you to the Orion requirements. Hope…
  • This may be a question regarding the Orion Platform, but I'm going to move this into the NPM forum since most of the Core team monitors that forum. I think this will yield a better result in getting an answer.
  • Choly (to adeelm) 4 months ago Adeelm, actually this should really work fine with NTA. Could you please save 5-10 pcap and open ticket with solarwinds? Out of fields in this particular flow NTA should only use following fields, ignoring the rest: SrcAddr SrcPort InputInt DstAddr DstPort OutputInt Protocol Permanent Octets…
  • Let's move this into the NPM forum (even though technically this affects all products), but hopefully it will have more visibility from the Product Managers and yield a response :-)
  • You got the correct site, but I'm going to move this question to the SAM forum because the software you're referring to is our Server & Application Monitor. That group has lots of followers and they should be able to help you out. Welcome to thwack!
  • For more information on the latest release, please visit our new NPM 12 product page.

  • Moving this thread to the Report Lab forum to better provide you some assistance.
  • erarpittiwari@gmail.com - I am going to move this under Network Performance Monitor forum. I realize you have many more questions that are not specific to NPM, but many of our Core developers and team members monitor the NPM forum, which might result in more eyes on this question.
  • Hi Damien Solodow, I apologize it has been a while since I responded, but I assure you I've been attempting to address this issue. After quite a bit of investigating with our own environment and then with our hosted vendor, it appears the issue could be related to your Windows profile. You can attempt to validate or verify…
