Hey, thanks for responding. They are both agent initiated communication and use the same IP address. I'm wondering if there is something blocking communication in such a way that an agent upgrade was allowed through but then normal connectivity was not.

Hello, We did not find a permanent solution. The underlying issue was the SWIS service not being able to work properly, caused by corrupted files on the core polling engine after an upgrade didn't go through properly. Once I cleared the alerts manually, they did not regenerate and the reboot alert is working as it should…

Hi, Thanks for the advice. I reached out to SW support and they sent me an installation guide. I installed it today and it was further through the installation procedure when I found I could select to install NCM and not to do an upgrade. Many thanks.

Hi, I have answered my own question and I will share what happened. There was recently an error with the SolarWinds Information Service in the SolarWinds platform I take care of. This was stopping the active alerts from clearing. When the SWIS issue was resolved, I needed to clear out the alerts manually. The reset…

Hi, You can put in a timestamp column, and then report on the past seven or thirty days. You can then amend the sample data for every day, hour, etc. Then the final part is to aggregate the data in the receive/transmit packets per second column. I hope this helps.

Hi, By component services, I mean services that are required for another service to run. Would monitoring them be like monitoring any other service in SAM?
