And another question I guess is, did you or someone else set a manual speed on the interface? I ask because we have circuits at our datacenters where they can "burst" to 100 Mbps+ but we are only paying monthly for say 10 Mbps so we set the speed as 10 Mbps so that we get alerts for when we are approaching high utilization…

If the devices didn't trigger any events you wouldn't see them in the network object drop down. This also applies to the Syslog/Traps/Alerts tabs.

Alterego, you can try these queries: UPDATE NPM_SETTINGS SET OldWirelessInstalled = 0 UPDATE NPM_SETTINGS SET MigrateWireless = 0 UPDATE NPM_WL_MIGRATION_STATUS SET MigrationStatus=1 DELETE FROM NPM_NV_EW_DEVICE DELETE FROM NPM_NV_WL_CONTROLLERS DELETE FROM NPM_NV_WL_APS DELETE FROM NPM_NV_WL_INTERFACES DELETE FROM…

Well it depends on what type of Cisco devices you are trying to pull the Serial Numbers for. For say 2960/3750 series switches you can use the OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.2.19. If if is an ASA you can use the OID: 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.11. What other devices do you need this for? Here is the link to Cisco's MIB browser tool:…

If you expand the interfaces after you click that button you will notice that Traffic and Error statistics will be unchecked.

If your Orion NPM Web Console isn't integrated with AD user accounts you will need to use the Orion SQL user accounts you use to login to the web console.
-
Another option if you are getting these from multiple servers or from other nodes like Cisco devices is to just use your trap viewer to create a rule to discard the trap.

The browser you are using most likely doesn't support iFrames. Try just doing an object. Ex: This should work for you.

You can pull this information via SNMP in the form of a UnDP. You can browse the OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.449, the ciscoEigrpMIB, specifically 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.449.1.3 and 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.449.1.4 for the Eigrp Topology and Peer information. For BGP you can build a table of the Peer ID and state by using the OIDs…

You could try restarting the SMTP service on the Orion server. Or you could just check the Event Logs on the Orion server. I would post this in the Orion NPM forum in the future.

No buenos...I haven't seen this issue with any of the upgrades. I am running 10.2.2 as well.

On the Alert in question go to the Trigger Condition tab and at the buttom you will see "Do not trigger this action until condition exists for more than: Here you can set the time it takes to trigger the alert. But if you want this on only certain nodes you will need to add a custom property or some other unique identifier…

Yes, set up your Alert like something below. Then just set your Trigger action to do as you like.. Orion Alert, Email.. ect.
-
You will want to look for: "VMotionPrepare" in the syslogs.

This has worked great for me and my company. I get tired of sending emails "Don't worry this is me!" Thanks,

You can use a service account that is a member of the Local Administrator group on the vCenter server. From there just ensure that the Local Admin group is assigned the Administrator role in vCenter. You can probably get away with just having the service account have read only in vCenter, but that is up to you.

Have your company purchase a Web Filter. Out of the box this will be something that can provide for you. Orion NTA isn't the best answer for Web Site reporting. One thing you can do is on your Firewall, say if you are using a Cisco ASA is to ensure your logging is set to Information and that syslog 304001 is not disabled.…

NPM can do this if you are referring to the Exchange Datastores or ExchangeLog volumes. Just monitor them and then you can use Basic Alert Manager to alert on the size you would like, and which Datastore. You can setup different alerts for each datastore depending on your needs.
