We only choose those interfaces that we am interested in receiving alerts from, therefore it doesn't matter interface type they are set at. Matt

Chris, I posted on this exact same topic over a month ago in regards to downloading software over slow links and I never received a response. After I set the debug logs it showed that Orion NCM was waiting for the router to respond (waiting for the prompt or maybe the # on the router) and then timed out. I asked if there…

I would like to know about this as well... I made another post but still no responses yet. Specifically I want to set a port range for VoIP... others I can add by hand if needed...

Are you running Orion NPM 9.5 SP3? I have noticed that sometimes alerts fire, but don't reset when they should. Rebooting seems to temporarily fix the issues. Not sure if anyone else have seen this. Matt

It would be nice if this was a "checkable" option on whether or not you want the description updated regularly during the rediscovery process or not. Can you post your SQL query for us? It would be nice to have that info so that I could do this in the future or setup the query to automatically run once a week.

Depending on if it's run on a local device or one over the MPLS network, it could take anywhere from 5 minutes to 15-20 minutes. The archive command goes through two passes, one where it copies the file to the devices memory, and then another where it frees up space and then extracts the image. I turned on session tracking…

This is happening with Thick/Autonomous AP's, Cisco 1200 series... I am also seeing it on Cisco 871/877 wireless routers as well. Thanks, Matt

Thanks... this worked beautiful. I would point out that it would be a good idea to have an port in "administrative shutdown" trump a "unplugged" setting when it comes to displaying the icon. For example, we administratively shut down user ports we don't use, but they are still a node in Orion NPM. Now they show up with the…

Haley, While reporting on CDR is really the responsibility of your call accounting software, I think it would be great to parse the database in real-time and return specific DN information of those call legs that have lost packets, jitter, or poor QoS per CallManager. Sometimes, based on the frequency of IP SLA responder,…

Interesting enough, I had this same issue happen with 4 devices at one of our remote locations (2800 series router, 3750 switch, and WAP's) after the upgrade to 5.1. They were working just dandy with 5.0... I haven't had a chance to open a ticket with support yet as I was waiting to see what happens over the weekend. Matt
