When a customer gets a replacement disk for their SAN and doesnt replace it for a week saying "I just couldnt bring myself to care about the SAN this week." and then another disk goes bad the next day.

Make sure to check the "No auto-restart with logged on users" security setting as well. If there is a user logged onto the server when it goes to reboot after patches are installed this could be the reason the reboots arent going through.
