Thanks. That was easy and point worthy.

Hi Guys. I just wanted to remind you that when you stand up a new, separate website for short term use, many of us in gov , banking and other high security industries cannot access these sites because they are blocked. Our WCF sees the a new site as Uncatagorized and blocks it by default. I blogged on this topic in…

Yes, I got a helpful comment email in message but no points...

There is a lot going in our offices. We are DoD so sometimes it appears that things are moving slowly but not so right now. We are moving to Microsoft DOD email. Collapsing a data center and moving a part of our server infrastructure into the DISA Data Centers (a cloud-ish option for us). Tech - refreshing our security…

You can also create a pointer in your local DNS for the malicious domain that will redirect the call to aknown good site, dooping the scripted action. This is one way many command and control functions are rerouted.

Does look like there are two answers based on the way the question was asked. Usually I wait to see how people are commenting but was in a hurry this morning.
-
No, not sure they are right as a matter of perspective, it looked like 2 pcs where given, the other needs to be added when the connector is setup.

Good Morning guys. Despite the controvery with the question itself, I answered the question on the contest this morning and did not get the 150 points. I got a green circle so I am assuming the answer I gave was the intended answer. I waited an hour, still green circle but no points. Thanks!

These type in the answer questions are problematic sometimes especially when you throw in that extra "/" in the answer. Perhaps wabbott can reset those of us that were confused by the "/" and though it should be included

The reason for the block is not the URL but the traffic inside. The IAP has installed a Web Content Filter that see this as something other than strictly HTTPS traffic and blocking access to it.
-
Yeah, I fell for it because the video will not play for me. No Browser options on the gov network. Guess I should wait and do these at home!

Appearently - multi-context support is incorrect. Cisco ASA multi-context support sounds redundant given the text

CDC 6600 all the way baby!

I got Wendy's hint

All caps COMPLETE did not work. Hmmm. I think they don't have an Xbox to give away

I have taken older PC's that ran Windows XP and install Ubuntu and Linux Mint versions on them to breath new life into them. It may not be worth the 100-120 to upgrade the OS but any old P4 or better with 2-4 GB ram will run a Unix kernel OS smoothly. These operating systems come with free upgrades and software that…

Hi rschroeder when I first went in to the site, your post not was there. After I broke um apart, tested it and posted it, there you were. And get your paw out of my face!

Hi guys. Watch out for the June 19 question. Do not answer this too quickly. I almost did but thought to read more. There is the old way to do it which is not the preferred way now. Read it all before answering!!
-
I did not see the answer in the HINT provided tho I was able to find it. If you get it wrong because of a questionable hint maybe you should catch a break...
-
I tried COMPLETE in all caps
-
Just as an FYI. I am a DoD network user. They have recently changed the access to public internet by introducing 443 packet inspection. It seems this is interfering with the ability to operate the labs in THWACK from within the DOD. I have been getting a DOD CyberComm block message. I can always do the questions at home to…

Maybe we could make it so when you review your answers for the week, and you got it right, the letter would appear also.
-
Yeah, looks like it is supposed to be an apostrophe between the r and s but we got machine code instead
-
Yes this is a better hint! Thanks!
-
We have resources in Japan and S.Korea. The SW implementation in the US. Hope this helps!
-
I knew it was an apostrophe! It's the only think that made sense grammatically!? Thanks lindsey.serrano!
-
We do not use NTA and I did not see a correct answer to this question anywhere in the video. Bummer
-
scottmathews - LOL I was probably looking it up when you were typing. Great minds!
