Ok So I knew the answer when I read the question but... I had to watch the video because I needed a good chuckle! Thanks for making this a clue on Friday.

Generally a nice write up. So that everyone knows, malware-for-sale has been going on for more than ten years. This is a little known, secretive groups that sell packages on the DarkWeb for as little as 300.00 for a starter kit. More expensive zero day exploits can go for several thousand dollars. They rely on the fact…

I would say ok but EVERY mission so far for the last several months has given the points immediately on a correct answer. I brought it up because it seemed abby-normal...

For me it switches to Survey Gizmo but says we are not taking additional survey responses at this time.
-
Yes we have upgraded.

I believe all is well here.

Hi wabbott. Just wanted to update what I have happening. My answer from yesterday yielded no points even tho it shows correct. I got some points last night night from a downloaded doc and a helpful rating. I answered this mornings question correctly but got no points for it either. I know this has been happening so will…

Hi all. I am always surprised by the sprinkler heads in the data center. I know they are dry, 2 stage but it could still happen and holy cow what a mess. Fear number 1 - the washed out data center. I also work as a security architect for a government agency. some of the stories you hear about inept government works are…

Yes this is my point. The question is bad AND the hint is bad. I hope my comment helped.

The stray chars do not affect the answers really. The question is a little more challenging than most but the correct answers do appear verbatim in the text. Do not assume too much, you know what they say about that word
-
Yes but do you answer a question where all the individual items are correct and the Final - all of the above. This would normally be a bubbled answer...
-
Yes the must there could be a killer. The question is really, can you apply the scripts as is or are you required to change individual parameters. Are you required (must) to go into each item and edit them individually every time? You could read further into the process or try it to really find out by doing one. They do…

Yes, this seems to continue from last month. Myself and another in my section did not get points Dec 1 and 2 - Nov Mission even though the questions show correct answers.

Thanks Wendy!

Watch out again. Hint 2 for me is broken maybe because of the gov network I am on, its hard to tell. Hint one is broken and the link takes you to some options; the answers to the question are available, go into the link for NCM and look at those features. It appears those characters IOSAAR are an artifact from a copy or…

Just as an FYI. Speaking of compliance issues your slideshow on slideshare will be blocked by all DOD networks as a file sharing service. I am sure it is good information but can not access it because of DOD proxy guidelines on websites

Or as in the Hobbit, Speak Friend and Enter. It was a much simpler time... Anyone try Friend (in elvish even - Mellon)

Understood.. Perhaps the goddess of the contest will reset for those that missed it.. Also perhaps use a different link since the link provided in the hint was not verbatim..

The key was down a bit - Rather than watching server health statistics and making guesses about their performance impact... Also remember this a DBA approach, not a Windows Server sys admin approach. Having access to the right tool is what this months questions are all about.

Oh course I got all 4 right so far and only saw the letter thing today. Its only my 2nd mission and first with a bonus. Can anyone help

Seems like a bunch of people lost points on this mission. I have been getting them for the Dec mission but lost out on 2 days points from Nov (green check, no points). The gentleman that sits in the cube next to mine had the same thing happen. It will not be the end of the world for anyone but would be nice. As always…

Same here....

STIGs are the best. Almost 20 years I have been contracting with the gov and running STIGs since Windows 2000 STIGs were a paper checklist. Too much fun. compliance apps are the bomb but many systems still have to be checked manually - DNS still has a lot of manual tasks...

Question 9 is a little misleading. NIST ISO and COBIT are organizations, not frameworks. Each of these organizations has a cyber security section that has established standards but they also have non-cyber divisions that create standards for all kinds of things. For example I teach SCUBA diving and the NAUI Basic SCUBA…

Be careful with question 5. Click on the help for Applications Using All My Databasesto get the answer.

Having to re-add our contact info to register for a Webinar when you already have this info seems invasive and redundant at the same time. You could not get a Thwack account without having provided this info. I would prefer that you provide a link to the info you want us to review for the question and ask separately if we…
