I'd love to have this ability as well. This will make the visibility of the Compliance reporting much better.

I would love to see this! It would make NCM much more handy for Juniper folks.

While it is true that there is an "Export" button on a report page, it would be ideal to have the ability to email an Excel or .CSV format file on a scheduled report email. Currently, there is only an option to attach a .PDF copy of the file, which is something. But the .PDF file is not sortable and it doesn't even have a…

I hear ya. But if we go that route, we might as well write a python script to do the firmware upgrade command while we are at it. There should be some type of way to get it to work using SolarWinds. In Junos Space (Juniper's version of NCM), you upload a file to the Junos Space server, right click the filename and deploy…

This would be really handy for me as well.

I concur as well. This will be important for me in a few months when I go to install this in production. The "User Roles" slide in my presentation will look pretty weak with only one Admin line...

I do appreciate presenting a work-around though. Don't interpret my message as being argumentative. I'm just disappointed in a tool that I love.

Nope. I am brand-spanking new to Thwack. Thanks kindly! Bookmarking that search now!

This is absolutely rad. I wish there was an updated version of this!

Holy crap! That is like a beefy ESXi host to run a hundred or so guest VMs!

Craig: Would you mind terribly sharing the specs for your NPM/SQL server specs, if it is not too much trouble? I am trying to make a slide to show what I propose for the 2 servers as the following stats. Would you mind telling me if I am way off on any part of these specs? SolarWinds MinimumMy RecommendationRole:…

Thanks for the quick reply Craig. Sorry for the noob questions. Gotta start somewhere, right?

From my experience, the "ScpServerTray.exe" was where I made my settings (Adding a user, changing the root location, etc.), then hit apply changes. Once I did that, I killed the "ScpServerTray.exe" process and made sure that it did not start at logon. Then made sure the SolarWindsSftpServer.exe service was marked to start…

What .dll files were broken? What did you do to fix the issue? I am having this issue right now.

Thanks so much guys for the quick reply. cnorborg: Do you have a single SLX license then? Also, excuse the noob question, but what is FSDB (I know NTA is Netflow Traffic Analyzer)?

Thanks again for the quick reply Craig.

Great question. I apologize for not noting that in the original question. I am speaking about the Web Console. It is not a deal-breaker by any means, but I have had some complaints and if I can hard-code the "DOMAIN\" part to the beginning of the Username field, it could cause less frustration for the end users thinking…

I would very much like this type of feature as well for Network Configuration Manager. I'd really like to schedule a discovery with a .CSV file to import custom fields to populate the "Node Group" field of the device so that I can set up access control on that group as well as making sure teams can only access "Config…

This is friggin awesome!!! Thanks so much for putting this together and sharing it with us!

I have exactly the same issue. I really don't want to have to write an SOP to tell users to select the Group Name column every time a new user comes on board. Until this feature is implemented though, it looks like I will have to...

I went into the C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\SftpServer\ScpServerTray.exe and set the SFTP/SCP settings that I would normally set on a Unix sshd.conf file, applied the changes, then went to the Windows Services list and found the "SolarWinds SFTP/SCP Server" service was set to be "Manual" I changed that to "Automatic"…

It means that your SolarWinds server can not collect the configs from the devices properly. Make sure that SSH is open (on the firewall) between your SolarWinds server and the devices that you are trying to collect. After that, it should be able to successfully pull in the configs and compare them between running/startup.
