Figured as much. I'm glad I'm not missing something obvious.. that's why I started here. Thanks again.

OK, the DLL registered but still no change in the Alert Manager- still only see Custom as the only option. Thanks for working with me, really appreciate it.
-
Tried that, got an error, still only see Custom as the option. I am an admin but I wonder if this really is just a rights issue:
-
NO dice on either. The schemas did report as updated but went back in to alert manager, no change. Authenticated users already had full control.
-
Only the word 'Custom' shows up under Custom Properties. I can manually enter a condition but that doesn't get what I need. I see what you mean about what's missing- I should be able to do something like Custom Properties->Metrics_Uptime but that isn't there. How do I update schema?
-
I think I was able to manually type in the Metrics_Uptime as a custom property, doesn't show up in the drop down when using Simple conditions, but I need to match two conditions- node status = down, and Metrics_Uptime = True, to trigger the alert.
-
I can't find anywhere to 'edit' a custom property. It shows up in the nodes list in the custom property editor. It shows up in the 'Remove' tool. But it is just a true/false selection named Metrics_Uptime. Attached is what shows up on the Node page.
-
As I tried this again I found why that doesn't work for me- Metrics_Uptime doesn't show up under custom properties. That's why I had to do it the way I did.
-
I think it is a custom property. I'm trying to redo it as you specify but it's a struggle for a SQL neophyte.. Yes, I made sure the repeat action box is not checked.

This fixed it for me! Thank you!

We just installed this today and while I did a happy dance, I was very frightened when I discovered that the guest account could run a discovery! I poked around and saw no way to limit accounts to 'read-only' in UDT- a very, very necessary feature. Can't have just anyone running a discovery, but we do want to let…
-
I'm sure someone's asked for it, but I'd love to be able to exclude rather than include. So exclude a group or node rather than include all of the ones.
-
OK, but I couldn't get this to do what I want that way. I need to be able to tirgger this alert only on devices with the custom poller attribute of being an SLA monitored item. Not being an SQL guy isn't helping me, admittedly, but what I don't understand is if it tests OK, why would it act differently in a live-fire…
-
Unfortunately, that's not what I need. I really need something that shows the description we put in to annotate the subnets. We can grant access to folks to dig through the application itself, of course, but it would be really nice to have it on a report, too.

I found a way around this, not having to use it, but still would like to know why it's there. Thanks!
