this happens, when the process cannot access the icon file - the file may be missing, corrupt or the process just not have appropriate access rights. All the images used for maps are usually stored in c:\Program Files\Solarwinds\Orion\Maps. I hope this helps...

Oh, I see it's 10. Would you mind opening a support ticket and mentioning this thread there? Thanks
-
I performed the steps you provided and I can see the icon in User Graphics\Dell in the Select Graphic window. Can you please open a support ticket and reference this thread? Thanks, Michal
-
rusnino, Could you please share with the public the steps you have performed to troubleshoot this issue? Thank you.
-
yes, I would definitely recommend using Network Performance Monitor instead.
-
do you use reports? if so, does removing them from the website help?
-
you are right, there is only the All Maps page, or Custom List of Maps resource (just a list, no thumbnails). I have notified our PM about your feature request.
-
akajee, have you tried turning off GetBulk in Switch Port Mapper? Go to the gadget settings, and on the Port Map Settings tab, uncheck "Use GetBulk". Then try again.
-
Permissions Analyzer always tries to log in, and when it fails, it reports the warning. You basically limit the search to one domain by not providing the credentials for it.

Orion renders the map using a 3rd party component. Basically, it just loads the map, checks for the objects that are in the map, loads information on the objects(their graphics, background image, etc), loads information on other objects that may influence status of the visible objects (for instance reads status of all…

I think the Small LED is the default style when you start Network Atlas for the first time. The reason for this comes from the first NA version where there were no default styles for the different node types, and the LED was set to everything.
-
Matt, I have asked the case to be escalated to our development team. Michal
-
It may not be part of 9.1. You will have to download the latest version.
-
It is currently not possible to select an object on a map and force its status to be ignored. I will add a feature request for this, although I cannot promise it will be implemented.
-
We believe that the issue will be fixed by fixing the resizability of the text box.
-
Not sure exactly, try running command "%APPDATA%" (without the quotes) to find out.

If you are in evaluation period, and you do not have a license to any of our other products, you should contact your sales representative. Otherwise, you can contact our support directly.

How about this one? SELECT Distinct Nodes.NodeID ,Nodes.Caption ,UDT_Port.Name as PortName ,UDT_Port.PortID as PortID ,UDT_PortToEndpointCounts.EndpointCount FROM UDT_PortToEndpointCounts join UDT_PortToEndpoint on UDT_PortToEndpoint.PortID = UDT_PortToEndpointCounts.PortID join UDT_Port on UDT_Port.PortID =…

please note that Orion website cannot run correctly when there is more than one worker process.

there is a work-around in SP2: until now, you had three different pictures for three different statuses: down, warning and up. The name of the file with the picture was like {name}-{status} (except the UP status), so there were files like picture-down.gif, picture-warning.gif, and picture.gif. Network Atlas does not…

"No image could be found at the specified location" means that Network Atlas could not connect to the URI you had provided. This may have one or more reasons: the image at the URI is not in a supported format, you are behind a proxy, another connection error occured. To verify the URI points to a valid picture, put the URI…

Network Atlas should use your default internet connection to download the background picture via HTTP. So it should work behind a proxy and a firewall too. You can also have your own script periodically updating the linked background picture on your web server's hard disk in a folder accessible to the website process (so…
-
yes, the background is downloaded from the specified URI every time the web page is reloaded. NetworkAtlas downloads the background only at the time of opening the map.
-
Network Atlas supports GIF transparency, so if your icon is in GIF format, then it should work.

The latest version released is 10.7. You may want to try with this one. To make sure the previous version of Toolset is correctly uninstalled, search the registry for the following keys/values: 0EC3CD28-A02A-4E48-B303-6374CEDCD15A 50246E3A-07E3-4193-B63F-6EC36A5C983E These are product keys for Toolset 10.4 and 10.5. Let me…

Hi, thanks for notifying. We have this issue tracked.
-
There are many empty entries. Did you redact the log to remove them? Could you instead use some placeholders so I could see whether the values are propagated correctly? For instance, if your domain is SOLARWINDS, you can change all the occurences to AAA. That will make the log more readable. Thanks, Michal

As far as I know, the fact you saw the green rectangle for up status was considered to be a bug with regards to comparison with Map Maker from Orion 9.1. That is why other people complained and we fix that. I am sorry you were the one affected negatively by the fix. I will notify our Product Manager about this thread.
-
ariabell, please contact your sales representative and ask him to escalate the issue. We will most likely need to set up an online meeting with you to take a look at it.

pillitiere, the option to show/hide the download link is under the "Edit" button on the map resource.
