Editing the web.config in the root will be enough. Once you modify the file, the web server will restart automatically.

Sol, are you trying to run the classic MIB Walk or do you use Workspace Studio? What is your operating system? Is it 32 or 64 bit?
-
I tried a transfer from one Juniper device we have and I did not experience any issue. Can you post a log here? It should be in C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\SftpServer.log.

This is very general error that may actually mean anything. What is the OS you are trying to run on? Couple of things to try (not necessarily in this order): 1) turn UAC off, run as administrator 2) set compatibility mode for Windows XP 3) Try Process Monitor to see whether there is any file or registry entry that might be…

Good point However, we are not able to reproduce the issue in our environment, so we can only work with data and logs we get from our customers. The more data and logs we have, the faster we can find the issue.

if one or more interfaces (or other child objects, such as volumes, or applications) is down, it is displayed as the small dot. It is displayed only if the "Show child status" is enabled on the map node. Since it is displayed as the dot, it does not affect the actual "main" status of the node.

CallManager 6 should be supported, can you open a support case on this?
-
This is caused by the way the menu is implemented and displayed in the operating system. It is an ActiveX component that has its own window opened on top of the browser.
-
Please check the machine you are trying to connect to shows the same system time as the machine you are connecting from. If this does not help, please contact our support.

Every path displayed on the Historical Traceroutes resource offers overview of hops that were taken. Each hop shows RTT of the hop. The route also shows the most recent occurence. So if the path was different at least once from the call issue on Friday, you will not see it. However, if it occured just once, you should see…

"the logical page in Orion" means using a default link for the object type. If the object is a node, the page is Node Details, if it is a map, the page is the MapView. I do not really understand what would you like to have there. Would you like to describe that more in details? Thanks.
-
What do you mean with the link status? MapMaker currently reads status for link from assigned network object, which can be either a node or an interface. If the network object is down, the link is displayed as down.
-
I am sorry I cannot help you with this. I asked few people around and nobody knows the answer. My guess is that if you cannot add the PE interface into Orion, you cannot put it into a map.

Map refreshes every time a page refreshes. If you want to refresh the map more often, set the page refresh time to a lower value in website settings.
-
I am afraid this is not possible.

You should not copy your custom graphics to the Program Files folder. This way the custom graphics will not be synchronized to the database and other users connecting with NA from remote computers will not be able to see them. Also, it may cause unexpected errors and issues with database synchronization. If you have more…

The only way is the one mentioned above - create a view for a user and set the map for him. There is no way to let them choose from only selected set of maps. However, you might combine the custom view with account/view limitations and prevent the users from seeing the nodes that are on the "secret" maps.
-
can you post a screenshot of the map here?
-
You may turn on displaying a cached map, while a new one is being loaded. This way, there is always a map displayed. Once the new map is created, it is displayed instead of the cached image. To turn on map caching, click the Edit button on the Network Map resource and look for a checkbox on the edit page.

I would add the new user, granted him the customization rights, logged in with the user account, chose the map, and then removed the customization rights. I am not aware of any better way, though there might be some.

psexec uses Admin$ share to upload an executable to the remote system and then starts it as service that then takes commands from the psexec client on your machine. To upload it there, it needs to have access to the Admin$ share. Since it is running under your account, your account would have to be allowed to write to the…

The version installed with 10.0 is 1.2.1. It seems like your installation stopped prior to Network Atlas update. If you want, you can either reinstall the Orion, or you can download Network Atlas from your Orion website (there is a link at the bottom of the map resource), uninstall Network Atlas, and install the new…

This seems like a caching/concurrency issue. Is this 9.5.1 or older?
-
It might be, but we have never encountered such situation. Maps (and other resources, like the thwack recent posts, or the tree with nodes) use javascript - is this allowed in the IE?

I have constructed this SQL query: SELECT Nodes.Caption, UDT_Port.Name, UDT_Endpoint.MACAddress,UDT_EndpointIP.IPAddress,UDT_DNSNameCurrent.DNSName, UDT_PortToEndpointCurrent.VLANID,UDT_Vrf.VrfName, UDT_PortToEndpointCurrent.ConnectionType FROM UDT_Port join UDT_PortToEndpointCurrent on…

The new version of Map Maker will use the lowest compression level. There is no way you can change the compression level now.
-
The resource is titled "All User Log Ins", isn't it? Does it contain any results when you refresh the whole page? If not, the problem might be there - the data may not be polled from the domain controller.
-
Showing the map image on hover would require some implementation in Orion maps, and it would certainly affect the performance. Opening a map in a new tab works the same way as with all hyperlinks - just click it using your middle mouse button or mouse wheel - just point at the link and press the mouse wheel. This…

I cannot see the difference.

NTA is the only module tied to NPM licensing. The other modules (like APM, or IP SLA Manager) have their own licensing. You should not experience any compatibility issue with installing IP SLA SL250 on NPM SLX, nor on NPM SL250.
