hi, ARP and ICMP echo are currently only two ways how IPAM can detect if IP Address is used or not. if you make it "reserved" we do "echo" request but we do not change the status, however we update the last sync field. ARP and ICPM echo do not impact reservation status as you noticed. you found interesting environmental…

we take interface captions in our resource. but they should match the port channel. Please, contact support so we may dig more into the problem.

Hello, could you send us product names and their versions? In general you can't move your license from one server to another one without impacting your origin (that would mean you could use one license for two product instances). You can park your license on the origin server and activate it again on the new destination.…

It is currently not supported by IPAM and we have it as feature request for the future implementation (sadly it's not a matter of a while to add support for this). When you want to use DHCP management from IPAM, the Cisco device has to support following commands: Cisco Commands that need to be supported: - ‘show…

Hi guys, we prepare update for SCOM 2012 support. And our plugin is currently in RC phase. I sent you both emails with direct links for SCOM 2012 plugin so you may test & validate. Please share with us if it works as expected. thanks, Michal

I would add this node as DHCP server into IPAM and then you should be able to modify default scope utilisation to alert to whatever threshold you need. have you tried that already?
-
Hi, if you ping that target from the Cisco console of the source node then I recommend to open the support case for your issue.

Hi smittyman, Unfortunately setting of source is not possible in current version of IPSLA Manager. I create a feature request for that (FB 110676). The only workaround that comes to my mind is create those IPSLA operations manually on routers (with custom source port) and then import this operation into IPSLAManager.

hi, VNQM probably won't be able to detect this as Gateways now, the feature request is real but can you tell me what exactly you would like to monitor and why? thanks, Michal
-
Hi Craig, this should be done via custom alert in our alerting manager (you may use AND or OR operators between your conditions so in your case you may specify "scope A utilization > 90% and Scope B utilization > 90%" then trigger an alert. you may find this video useful if you are not familiar with our alerting manager:…

you are right, with current IPAM it doesn't work. but it's our current highest priority. would be super helpful to tell us for what integration story you want to use it.
-
Hi, are you requesting just support for Infoblox or do you use also other vendors? thanks, Michal
-
Hi Andre, could you share that pcacp file so we can look at it?
-
hi Jeffrey, can you tell me why are you trying to do? NPM can re-send syslog traps as they come. there is currently no tool how to re-send existing logs in bulk as syslog but that could be solved via some workaround. But I'd like to understand the use case bit better. thanks, Michal

This a new functionality of VNQM 4.1 (in an RC phase now) feel free to test it.
-
guys, NPM 10.6 beta is out with this feature. is there some volunteer that may install and provide a feedback this week?
-
Hi, I just want to repeat that this functionality (HP MSM760/765 native support) is now available in NPM 10.4 RC - we are listening. thanks, Michal

Hi Deltona, I think you want to see this:

Hi OlgeiD, thanks for contribution. I would separate that into two requests: 1) drag & drop functionality for groups management. That's something handy and nice to have for our users. But for others it's about filtering queries or dynamic queries if there are so many nodes where drag & drop is not effective. Anyway I…

It seems this case needs and investigation and support should be able to help you with that. We would appreciate if you can share the outcome of this on Thwack when it will be resolved.

Hi Glen, what you need is add VoIP gateway as node into VNQM. All data is polled automatically then. checkout the demo site: http://oriondemo.solarwinds.com/Orion/Voip/VoIPGateway.aspx?NetObject=VVG:233

Hi Mike, there are two options you may do: 1) extend the transient period time - which is probably what yo don't want to/ 2) use "Reserverd" status for IPs with manually assigned IP addresses. From the scenario above, you are saying that even though transient period expires then some device may be offline and you suppose…

Hi Justin, I created feature request for this (FB110252). Is this a critical issue for you?
-
Hi, I'm tracking this as feature request. I guess you are talking about static subnets correct? We do support split-scopes only for DHCP servers of Microsoft and Cisco. how you would expect the split or merge workflow. should be there wizard or you want to just click one button without any other settings. also, how to deal…

similar problem was solved here: IP SLA upgrade and Jitter Operation it seems to be environmental problem, I recommend to call support they will solve it via GoTo meeting
-
Hi, could you get output of this SQL query and see if your operation is there with that ID? VNQM uses IDs 40xxx for internal count, but 30001 should work fine.
-
Hi, test case #1 IPAM does polling based on IPv4 address. So in case that your routers has both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses assigned then this test case is valid and IPAM 3.0 compatible but the test procedure needs to be changed and you need to add IPv4 subnet too along with IPv6 prefix. test case #2 As I mentioned IPAM…

Hi Ayesha, if you have NPM 10.6 tehre is a new reporting on web. from there you may easily select the nodes that applies to your selection and report interface bandwidth just on them. use "data source" where you will define the nodes and then you may use custom table or custom chart (or both)
-
Hi, here are answers on your questions: 1) we are not showing 1 entry for two scopes. But you can use popup windows on scope in order to see split-scope relative. The names could be the same but you can still see two scopes, each on different server. If you switch to the DHCP scope view and sort by server you should be…

Hi rugger, could you please tell me why you would like to have this functionality there - what do you need to do with exported data? thanks.
