I think that this is the task for SAM which can filter our Windows or Unix servers and it can also obtain applications running there. IPAM can't monitor apps.
-
If your Unix servers respond to SNMP queries then it should not be a problem. The best think you can do is download NPM demo and try that.
-
Hi curtis this is currently not supported in IPSLAM. I created feature request ( 111284) for that. thanks for your comment. Is the only reason why to change the number of packets IOS defalt value? Or you need to do that from other specific reason? thanks, Michal

Hi, this is something IPAM can not do for you right now. We will track it as feature request (FB90216 for SW folks). Thanks for feedback. Other IPAM users, please let us know if this is also something you would like to see in IPAM.
-
could you please send one to michal.hrncirik@solarwinds.com ? thanks, Michal

hi, we would like to introduce support for STP and its alternatives into NPM. I would be very interested to talk to you directly. But to your case, what you mean by saying "switch show things as fine"? Do You use some other software or using SNMP walk? In your case, you may do two things: 1) you can modify your alert or…

Hi guys, those of you that have a little bit of time to help us validate polling of DHCP options, we've prepared new IPAM beta - you may quickly subscribe and get the download links . thanks for your time, Michal

IPAM 4.0 beta read & contains BIND DNS monitoring and management! Everybody is welcomed to give it a try: IPAM 4.0 Beta ready - BIND DNS, IP Address conflicts, Port & User information

I can recommend to go directly to 4.1.1: NTA 4.1.1 SR Release Candidate available

Hi, IP SLA Manager reports MOS as computed by a standard International Telecommunications Union (ITU) algorithm involving the codec for your VoIP network and values of latency, jitter, packet loss, and MOS advantage factor. Jitter, latency, and packet loss are variable quantities that are measured by IP SLA Manager in…

Hi Glenn, there is actually no workaround for this. But as I understand you correctly, you would like to simply see "flat view" of your subnets correct? if so, how many subnets do you have in the system (just want to realize what UI container can handle that).
-
Hi, as borgan wrote - check your polling rate utilization. if you can see high utilization (90%) and more, it may happen that polling engine(s) can't handle such load and start throttling the polls. however, you have 22K elements and 2APs which sounds good, because 1 polling engine can do 12K elements. If you move your…

as superfly99 has responded, there should not be a problem of running IPAM with existing product from above - we can talk about DB load if you want to scan for more than 1 million IP addresses.
-
I would recommend LEM (http://www.solarwinds.com/log-event-manager.aspx) which should retrieve such information from the windows logs and events.
-
you should be able to do that via this page: feel free to share a sreenshot where it fails.
-
Hi, doing "unmanage" IPSLA monitor you would expect that operation will still exits on Cisco device but you don't care about statistic poling right?
-
Hi, have you seen this post? SDK Applicability
-
Thanks to all who offered help here! We started with testing our latest code with fresh PCAPs. I'll reward you with support of that devices in NTA and also twhack story points
-
Please open a support ticket with the Solarwinds support. thanks, Michal

Hi, there is currently no option how to change bar chart instead of pie chart. I can add this as a feature request. Is this just your personal preference or you can't read data from pie chart properly? thanks, Michal
-
Hi, how much in the history do you need. the problem is that our maintenance cleans the hourly data each day and summarize them into daily data so after that, we don't have hourly data available to create such report. so the report can't run monthly but probably daily.
-
Hey Peter, IPAM actually uses functionality of Microsoft DHCP server, where it uses this kind of format if you create new PTR record to A. This was reported by other users and we are looking into Microsoft API if there is an option to make the format configurable.
-
haha I must admit that I've been laughing for few minutes. I really like your style how you can express that "there is a bug". this look as a cheap fix I put it on our list of near future. thanks, Michal
-
Hi, our IPAM does both-way sync with Microsoft DNS and BIND DNS servers. If you change the record on the server or in the IPAM the information will be synchronized and you'll see latest/actual DNS records in the zone on IPAM server.
-
Hi, how do you plan to use exported files? is that for reporting purposes or is that because you do not have some functionality within SolarWinds IPAM and you doing some post-editing in Excel? Report can be customized via Advanced Report application that comes with IPAM. IPAM itself is not primarily focused on rich…

Hi, I'll talk to UX team if we there would be also alternative way to go than have button. Anyway I entered a feature request for this (111968). Is there anyone else who is suffering from the same issue? thanks.
-
If you have vlan as a node interface and if it does support interface MIB then yes. The best thing is to download NPM free trial from solarwinds.com com and give it a try.
-
Hi, have you seen this demo video of IPSLA Manager: www.solarwinds.com/.../ ? It describes some of IPSLA operations and main differences between them. Let me know if you are expecting more details. thanks, Michal
-
Hi Richard, let me talk to DEV about this. thanks for very nice presentation of the problem.
-
Hi Keith, let's open a support ticket for this: Submit a Customer Service or Technical Support Ticket - SolarWinds it could be environmental configuration issue.
