We also have an unofficial tool how to automatically populate IP addresses for your subnets. You may download it from here:http://thwack.solarwinds.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadBody/168916-102-1-4703/AddIps.zip

Great point, we will discuss this problem with our UX team. thanks, Michal

Hi all, I added your votes to Junos DHCP support. We will consider that for future. Please keep voting who want's to see Juniper DHCP support in IPAM. thanks
-
that's correct.

just to close a loop on this (at least for now). You've opened a ticket with Cisco because we have found that SNMP walk really returns: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.91.1.1.1.1.4.5 = INTEGER: 20 .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.91.1.1.1.1.4.6 = INTEGER: 34 .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.91.1.1.1.1.4.7 = INTEGER: 38 which are temperature sensors and if you apply to…

Hi John, do you have "publisher - subscriber" configuration (or cluster ?). We fixed similar problem for 4.2, however I can recommend you to open support ticket and we can verify if this is something well known or unexpected behavior.
-
Hi, this is "cache behavior" and yes, it could be handled bit better (at least provide "clean cache" button). However if you would like to clean this cache run "regedit" in your Windows box and go to: “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\Network Performance Monitor” Then find the email address in dword…

Hi, you can create feature request here: VoIP & Network Quality Manager Feature Requests but we don't have recent request for this functionality. it would more likely come once we would introduce phone detail polling (end phones with their own firmware statistics)
-
Hi, have you tried NPM RC1 & new reporting? It should be easier for you to build that report without using SQL
-
ok this is strange guys, I don't see any pending request, let me solve this with our IT team. stay tuned please.
-
you should have access now

We prepared a new connector for SCOM 2012 - it's version 2.0 - http://downloads.solarwinds.com/solarwinds/Release/Components/SolarWinds-Orion-ManagementPack-v2.0.0.zip
-
please be careful about this. Our quality engineers run into compatibility issues when installing SCOM MP pack into latest SCOM2012. I'm glad that there is a chance to make it work but I need to state that it is still not officially supported by SolarWinds. thanks for understanding, Michal

Hi, our NPM poll couple of MIBs for HW health data. There is one - corporate MIB that is common for various HW vendors and provide info about chassis & sensors. It's called ENTITY-MIB SNMP MIB and what you need to do is validate if your 3com devices support such MIN (for example via SNMP browser tool). I can also recommend…

thanks for your opinions. IPAM 3.1 RC doesn't charge you for network and broadcast addresses anymore. You will see them as "reserved" but there is no impact on your license. thanks, Michal
-
officially is VNQM 4.1 working with NPM 11.5. I'm not aware of issue with VNQM search just because of NPM version. If you see CDRs on your FTP server and no results in VNQM, let's open support case and we will have a look where the problem is.
-
this works for adding subents in IPAM itself (add new, or add bulk). sadly it doesn't work when using spreadsheet import.
-
Hi, I can't say exactly when a new release will be out but we just released a new IPAM Beta (which can indicate something ). The list of what we are working on for the IPAM is actually on the first page of this thread. thanks, Michal
-
Hi, it's not currently what we are working on. But we are aware of such request and we are monitoring that. thanks, Michal
-
Hi, could you please contact me via email if you are interested in beta/rc? thanks, Michal
-
Hi, I'm now taking ownership of IPAM instead of Mav. Regarding your request - I know those "small" things may make life a lot easier. Let me discuss this with our UX team and we will consider that for future. thanks for good tips, Michal

as Jeff mentioned, or you can use Flow Navigator:

hi, SolarWinds wants always satisfy current customers on existing markets. This is why we pay so much attention on Thwack community and it is always taken into account when we planning support for other vendors. But we also have internal strategies and we want to satisfy customers from the markets where Solarwinds is not…
-
hi liufisky, thanks for sharing your findings with our community. Michal
-
perfect, thanks John!
-
Hi Radie, thanks for feedback. We will take a look on this and validate. Michal
-
also, just FYI, this also needs to be supported in your environment: IPAM utilizes both standard Linux commands (POSIX) and BIND specific commands that are required for IPAM BIND management functionality. * named * ps * grep * sha1sum * cat * if [ -r "filepath" ] ; then echo 'true'; else echo 'false'; fi * if [ -w…

Hi Amer, does the explanation from Martin below helps, or would you expect NTA provide different visualization?
-
this is something that was done for IPAM 3.0 RC - please let us know how satisfied you are with new user delegation.

Hi syn3rgy, our engineering team will take a look on this. thanks Michal
