Thanks Brandon. I've got my subnets imported now, so my follow-up question is: Is there a way, preferably and easy one, to import just the subnet descriptions without overwriting the existing subnet information. I'm especially interested in not pulling all of the subnets out of the containers/folders that I spent 18 hours…

Is there a way to also import the description of the subnet? I'm going from a spreadsheet and importing that into the toolset database file using Access and then importing that into IPAM. Can I modify the Toolset .ipdb file in Access and add a column or have it in my original spreadsheet that will allow this information to…

I can do that, but part of my resolution actions are to send out a "RESOLVED" email. If the node is down, then the low battery condition wasn't really resolved. It's not that big of a deal, but it does "break" the standards that I've got set up. I may be able to live with it though if that is my only option. Thanks Michael

What I want is for it to be automated, so that it keeps sending out the email alert with the battery percentage remaining as long as the node is still reachable by Orion. As soon as it isn't reachable, I want it to stop sending the updates telling me that it has 4% (or whatever it might be) battery remaining. I'll get a…

On each of your servers, how much of the 12GB of RAM is being used? How big are your log files? On your server that logs the internet traffic, what is the size for each of the 1 minute log files? I've been doing some calculations based on what we are logging now, which is nowhere near what we will be doing, and I'm sure it…

I'm looking into getting an additional web console so I haven't done any installation of it yet and am looking for a little clarification. What would I need to do to get the IPAM tab visible on the additional web console so that we have full functionality from the additional web console: 1. Run the full IPAM installer on…

I actually do have conditions that check to make sure the node status is not "Down", "Unknown", or "Unmanaged". Unless I'm misunderstanding how alerts work, once an alert is triggered, it stays triggered until the alert is reset and the trigger conditions are not continually rechecked to see if they still "apply". So…

But I don't have APM. That is why I was wondering if NPM could do it. Does anybody know of a way to do it with only NPM? Michael

I "resolved" it by turning off browser integration for my account and not caring enough about keeping it to followup any further. Michael

Craig, I know that I can see the status of which subnets are being scanned at the moment and which ones are queued up and which ones are set to go at a certain time in the future. I've got 15 pages of subnets that are queued and 26 pages that are scheduled for the future. I would think that if it was completing all of my…

RoyalIEF, Can you provide some details on the server hardware that you are using? Is it physical or virtual? Is this a single server? If more than one, are you load balancing between servers? What type of rules are you doing on the messages coming in? We are looking at logging to disk (no other rules or actions)…

Correct. But I can't display the results of two custom pollers at the same time. For example,I can show the % battery remaining and the IP address, because the IP address isn't a custom poller. But I can't show the % battery remaining and the remaining run time, because both are a custom poller. If you can show me how to…

Jonathan, We had the same thing issue when I brought in ~2000 subnets. It was a couple of days of pure joy. So unless something has changed in the past couple of months, it is one at a time. . .and don't call me Shirley. :) Michael
