?? Not sure what you were replying with, nothing seems to be showing up.
-
Ah ok. That should reinstall the job engine then.

Karl, Our technician working on case 304991 requested the diagnostics on behalf of our developers. They would like to collect that information from you in order to get the explanation to you that you are asking for. There should have been upload instructions for the diagnostics file sent to you in the last email the…

Select DiscoveryProfiles.Name as Discovery_Name, DiscoveredNodes.Hostname as Node_Name, DiscoveryProfiles.EngineID as Poller, DiscoveryProfiles.LastRun as LastRun From DiscoveredNodes Join DiscoveryProfiles on DiscoveredNodes.ProfileID = DiscoveryProfiles.ProfileID Where DiscoveredNodes.NodeID NOT IN (Select NodeID from…

It's hit or miss with net-snmp. I'd recommend upgrading the versions though to the latest release on those OS's that aren't giving you what you need. Either than or check out the snmpd.conf to see if there's any restrictions that aren't in the servers that are working ok.
-
Ah, didn't see the edit, lol. I'm wondering if your systems is generating the OrionWebPdf.log. If so, I'd say find and examine that log to see if there are any errors that jump out.
-
There may be MIBs that are not included in the Orion MIB database yes. The MIB database doesn't have all the MIBs a vendor may possibly create for SNMP polling. It does have a large amount, but there may be some out there that are new, that haven't been presented to Orion for addition by a customer. The OID number should…

If the custom property isn't showing up under the dropdown, the schemas may need to be updated. Are any properties showing up under custom properties?
-
So in the Advanced Alerts, with the type of property to monitor set as Node, then adding a simple condition, when you select Custom Properties, what are your options?
-
Yes, it can. Once you are able to login to the Network Atlas, using one of the mentions previously mentioned, you simply need to go and find a jpg or gif image of you location through something like google images. Attached is a capture image of a building from Austin, TX as an example. You just put the image file on your…

So you have the alert to trigger, then start a 15 minute countdown before the alert actually becomes an alert, it's basically in a stand-by mode for 15 minutes. Within that 15 minutes, if the system falls out of the 90% it's going to reset the alert, then again, the next time it polls, if it goes back above 90, it starts…
-
Ziba, did you acknowledge the alert before he did?
-
Did you right-click on SolarWindsOrion and choose query table? It would appear as if the query is running against a different database.
-
No, none that I was ever aware of, since these are add-on's so to speak.
-
Version 11.5 gets closer to this being able to use some of the queries provided. As well, with the latest version, there is a new resource in the node details page that allows you to see what alerts the node could potentially trigger. Along with that, when creating an alert in the new web based alerting system, there is an…

So just got word back from support that per dev, there was a server corruption on their end causing the issue. Things are working now.
-
So you are unable to click on the italicized hosts in the Virtualization summary?
-
10.3.1 does more polling for vendor specific information than the older versions, so it can increase database size. That along with the addition of the interface availability that was introduced will lead to larger sizes. A full SQL install won't run into the size issue as there is no limitation accept for the size of the…

So with this setting, it would indicate that some of the devices still have the global marco being used which would be found under Login Information on the Edit Device. Is the screenshot of the successful login the same device that you are seeing the IP of on the failed Attempts report?
-
Only if you are going to install it as a stand alone. The SRM Orion Module will run the configuration wizard and point to the existing SolarWinds database you have the other software configured for.
-
It was our main poller/web server. We also added a secondary polling server as well. The biggest gotcha for us was to rerun the config wizard and change a couple of settings I had in the Websites table when I had bound the IP for the website.

I know what you mean. I'm married....that means I assume usually means I'm wrong but don't want to admit it (thankfully my wife is not a thwack member or I'd be dead soon).
-
By all means complain away...I've got nothing against it.... or do I?
-
If you want someone to jump in on a remote session, I'd recommend opening a case with SolarWinds. Testing the alert is only going to test the action to see if the email can be sent based on the node you choose in the test. It doesn't actually test to see if the alert is setup properly. As you showed in your screenshot,…

unfortunately not yet

Glad to help out. You could create a feature request to have this functionality added. I'd vote it up.

For our case, we've had several times where some of our customer facing sites have suddenly become inaccessible and the root cause has been due to the DNS record for the site disappearing. We are looking for a way to monitor when records are removed in order to try to stay ahead of this occurring. I would assume that there…

POW!!!!! And the ref takes a point away lol
-
That may be my next attempt. The only other option is going to have to be to overwrite the template on every assigned node and change ${IP} to the IP or name of the server assigned. Fun times ahead. Would be nice to either be able to use variables in a query or have a custom component monitor that would allow you to do…

Yep both are running. It's just odd that this occurred after a service restart and I have to re-enter the credentials.
