aw man, I like the conspiracy theory we were coming up with. Now you just have to go and pop the bubble.
-
You can already do this as tcbene points out.
-
lol nice
-
I can create it again, just a bit frustrating having to recreate them all when they are in the database already but there's no way to point what's already there that I can find.
-
I was looking at that. Yes the hostname of the server changed, however there is only one entry in the engines table and it's the server we migrated to. The Netpath.Probes table only has the new engine in it. What I found most interesting/disturbing is that while the NetPath_EnpointServices has all the previous endpoints,…

yeah we had that on that upgrade and creating a new job fixed it. This one though has me stumped. I just wish there was a better log or more logging to be able to look at.
-
created a new job and added just one of the two devices, and still same issue. SNMP timeout.
-
Yes. I believe the issue though is that NCM is using SNMP rather than CLI to get that information from devices. If there was a way to use CLI it could be a bit more comprehensive.
-
good to hear. I was about to mention the below as well: # Make at least snmpwalk -v 1 localhost -c public system fast again. # name incl/excl subtree mask(optional) view systemview included .1 view systemview included .1.3.6.1.2.1.1 view systemview included .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.1.1 Occassionally you need to add the bolded line…

If you have the snmpd.conf configured with what is allowed and the string, you should get all of that out of the box. What constraints, if any, are in the snmpd.conf file?
-
What specific information are you looking to poll that you are not getting from NPM out of the box? There are definitely other OIDs out there to collect.
-
The alert frequency merely tells the software how often to look at the polled data for the alert conditions. If the data that was last polled does not reflect this, there will be no trigger. If there are problematic devices, you could attempt to lower the polling frequency on said device(s) to 1 minute, but depending on…

Yeah, the '<>' is the same as not equal to. This way you are removing that node from consideration.
-
I would list it all in the primary section rather than using to. you should be able to have something like: and Nodes.Caption <> 'value'
-
One thing we did was to add a condition that deleted is equal to no in order to supress some of the alerts. Not sure if it would help in your case.
-
Turns out the issue was due to having an inaccurate DNS server specified on one of the two nics on the server that was statically assigned. Thanks for the suggestions though.
-
Did you deploy with https? Is it trying to use a self-signed certificate?
-
What are the values you receive back from the poller? There may be a poler ID or label you can use to exclude the interface.
-
That solved it for me.
-
Good catch. The IP Binding seems to have caused that. Odd
-
If that's the case, being assigned to the node, there's not going to be a way to remove the specific interface. If the port information is being gathered that way, you will have to explicitly specify that interface in the alert where the name or interface ID is not equal to that specific interface.
-
It's been a while since I've seen an error like this, but I believe it may be tied to the node name not being able to be listed on the page due to a character use or space, if memory serves.
-
You should be able to create an alert tied to these specific ports and set the condition based on the status you want, such as up, to send the alert. Just have an OR condition for each of the ports you want to identify. You'll have to make sure they are all being monitored individually if that's the granularity you want.
-
Have you gone into the UNDP and removed the assignment?
-
Here's the original report you're asking for. [View:/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/194/Disks_2B00_Approaching_2B00_100_25002B00_Capacity_2B002D002B00_This_2B00_Month.xml:820:615]

It depends on how long your data retention is. I believe it's saved as an event, however, it's likely that after 30 days to a year, depending on your data retention, those events would no longer be in the database.
-
Does the account have the ability to connect to the remote server? If you are choosing remote host, then SolraWinds is going to connect to the target to run the shell script. Are you able to do that with those credentials?
-
OK this is odd. One thing I didn't notice until now was that the servers apparently were having time issues. The servers were in the wrong timezone (shouldn't be an issue and correctable) but the software was showing 3 hours behind in polling times. Had to edit the registry and start the time service to sync with our NTP,…

It's what generates the Power Control Unit Status metrics on a UPS The above is from our current production box. I had thought about the mib database and updated that as well. But even upon checking again, there still nothing showing up as an option or as polled data. Unfortunately as both systems are running 2023.4.2 I…

I set my trigger to ensure an alert would trigger, rather than just using simulate, and this is what I got: An issue on an object you are monitoring occurred at Tuesday, April 23, 2024 11:23 AM. Temp: 98 View full object..........
