This would be very helpful. Can we have this feature?
-
Is this still an issue in SAM 6? I am having an issue when polling hard disks on ESX 5.1. The status appears completely green and when a drive is pulled out the status does not change.
-
Is there any update regarding this post?
-
Do not know if anyone is still having this issue. I found that nodes with high latency had issues sending the authentication trap in the SNMP settings. I unchecked it and SNMP began working again.
-
Any idea if this has been fixed? I found that any dashboard I click on increases the memory of the information server and it does not appear to be letting go of any memory after it builds up.
-
Would like this as well.

I have been working with SolarWinds for over 5 years. 90% of the time I had to resolve issues on my own.
-
Hey aLTeReGo, I was looking at this as well and I noticed that for a component you can set the response time warning/critical thresholds based on X consecutive polls but I do not see anything to report the component as down after consecutive polls. Is this still the case?
-
Any updates on this?

What about assigning a Device type to the devices that don't use SNMP manually so that you can make a new view for them? The access points I have are ICMP only.
-
Hey Greg, Did you get this resolved? I am still having issues with this. Regards, Michael

Currently having an issue where the alert page goes blank tabs some of the menu items start to fail intermittently. Restarting SolarWinds services does not work. Support increased the socket buffer size and stated this was the cause of the issue and is the permanent fix. Previously they asked to patch using a hotfix but…

Here is the updated HTML (without my custom properties) to match what I posted above. <table border="0" style="background-color:#FFFFCC;border-collapse:collapse;border:2px solid #FFCC33;color:#000000;width:450" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="20" <tr> <td width=120><b> Node Status </td> <td>${StatusLED}</td>…

Here is an example of HTML for what your asking: <table border="1" style="background-color:#FFFFCC;border-collapse:collapse;border:1px solid #FFCC33;color:#000000;width:450" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="6"> <tr> <td>Node Status</td> <td>${StatusLED}${StatusDescription}</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Polling IP Address</td>…

Same, would like to know how to do this.
-
This is the correct answer and worked for me. No need to have the node enabled with SNMP as long as the disk is in SRM and has the "Disks on this Array" section.
-
This worked great for me in a HTML table. Thank you.
-
Thanks Cobrien, Any idea when we might get an ETA? -Michael

Hey Cobrien, Case # 1035604

Can this status change be used to detect interface flapping?
-
Hey Scottgille, With the "SELECTED NODE PROPERTIES" module I am unable to sort or format the window to my liking. This is what I was able to do with the "Custom HTML Resource".
-
Hey Scott, You might be able to do that with the Custom HTML resource. I was able to make something similar using custom property variables. If you search thwack for Custom HTML resource you might find what you need.

Hello aLTeReGo, Where is this outlining process? I have many models of IBM systems ready to be walked.
-
Hey Mark, I have had some P2V's as well and when I update them the historical data does indeed disappear. Un-managing the physical node and recreating a new one would work. You should also be able to generate a report with all the historical information so that it is not lost once you update the system. When I decommission…
-
Hey aLTeReGo, With this new inventory feature when we decommission and delete a node. Will we have an option to store the inventory detail in SolarWinds so that it is still searchable? Can we mark the node as decommissioned?
-
No but I am trying really hard to find out how to make it work.

CASE: 1307593 I have a new SolarWinds deployment that is suffering from a crashes almost every other day. I have been waiting for support for hours to analyze logs and provide a solution. So far, three solutions have been implemented with a "wait and see if that works" conclusion. You can imagine how that helps you sleep…
-
Did you get this to work? I am getting the same message.
-
Support lines were busy and customer service had a message from verizon saying that it was an invalid phone number. Solarwinds reached out to me per the tickets I created and resolved my issue.

Any updates on Bluesocket Controller/Access Point monitoring support?
